This snare is a keeper! I have the 6 1/2" deep version and may purchase the 5 1/2" as well. I went to order a Ludwig Black Magic snare, but when I saw and heard this snare I purchased it instead. This is great for outside gigs and sounds great over the PA.
Sound
Playing this snare is addictive! Lay into it and it Screams! Sounds like a cannon on steroids! At low volumes it is extremely sensitive, great for buzz rolls and ghost notes. I unveiled this snare at rehearsal last night and my band mates were blown away! No easy task as I have a sizeable arsenal of snares. This is currently my favorite snare. Great sound, visual appeal, versatility and all at a killer price! Try it, you'll Love it!

Striking finish, perfect bearing edges, simple and efficient throwoff and die-cast hoops to top it off.

Price is reasonable for this quality drum.
