"The best controller hands down."

I have owned many controllers og the year. Some better then others but the required other pad controllers to play along with them. The Numark Ns7lll is a beast with the turntable style scratch pads, the 16 mpc pads are such an asset to this unit, used for 1 shots, loops and more. The 3 screens allow you to dj without looking at your laptop.

"Best controller by far and whoever says different isn’t a DJ they’re a PLAY pusher"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
There is nothing that comes close to this controller. You have to mix. You can’t do what all lazy millennials do and press a button and have your controller mix or you. Though you can push a button on this and have your beats match. This is what us REAL DJ’s who started in the 70’s and 80’s want and feel. Today it’s about recording your set and pressing PLAY at you gig. Anyone with a pioneer, know that’s what they’re doing. Half the producers that make the music have no clue on how to use a pioneer controller. The take pioneers money, put their controllers in front of them at a show and press PLAY. Trust me I’ve been in the business for almost 40 years. This is a REAL DJ’s controller. You need to BE A DJ TO USE IT. If your not a REAL DJ, buy a pioneer and push PLAY because that’s all they’re good for. Just waiting for Numark to come out with a new version. But NOTHING compares to the feel of spinning platters unless you’ve never used vinyl which most modern wannabes have never used.

Hello. First time buyer of a DJ Controller. Chose this one based on a friend owning one. I didn't do any research on the competitors and i didn't think I would want/need anything else. I found that the manual instructions(performing features) were a little challenging to apply (as a person who isn't familiar with DJ tool nomenclature ). I don't see many users on Youtube using this product as their "gig" machine. Most of the shared vids are promos. Not many regular party rockers using this from what i saw.Saying that, if you want a fairly good controller and aren't sure if this will be your one stop item, browse around. I find myself moving beyond just trying mix and fade songs together, i got the dj battle bug and like what i see when i see ppl like DJ Lady Styles. So if you just want something to rock a crowd with, the bells on this can be found on cheaper controllers and do the same job, I think.Cons-Pads: On one or two pads, they don't illuminate if I set them as a cuePlatter Start/Stop: i noticed if i tighten the vinyl to the stem, the spin back isn't as fluid no matter what i use for a slip mat. Too loose and there won't be any spin back. I noticed if too tight or firm, if i have the platter stopped and cue set - when i press play the platter will go backward and then go forward. Not a clean start. That's how i noticed the "tightened" of the vinyl effected the spin and playback.Price: Functionally you can find cheaper controllers that do the same thing - allow you to mix your digital audio files. Maybe fair market price for the size and motorized platters, but after having it some time i wish i looked into something that had better mixing functions.Features:Touch - blah...i don't find myself needing thatLayout illumination- kind of hard to read without supporting light, back lighting is weakPros-Product feel - feels great, sturdy and components seem to be in logical placingRebate(S) - was able to get a free flight case with my purchaseTwo headphones connections, small and big jack - no need for adapterSeems like Numark invested in creating tutorials for newbies like meChannel selection - I thought it was fairly easy when moving between 3 channels(platter use)Overall - does the job for a dj looking to play tracks. I don't have the skill to test it out any further to say it's the shyt. But yeah, may be a bit pricey if you are a bedroom dj. Common bells and whistles.Tech support: I've yet to call about my pad illumination issue, but will update this review when I do.

The NS7-111 is designed to fill the gap between vinyl and digital iin a much more precise and accurate way than time coded vinyl. Time coded vinyl is sloppy and all over the place which is how mixing on turntables always was and will be. There is an inherent flutter and wobble with any spinning platform and anybody who has ever tried to mix on cheap turntables knows this well. Expensive turntables minimize this but it never goes away. This means riding the pitch control and knowing how to match beats by ear. So if you are new and never mixed on vinyl, this is probably not the mixer for you. Learn on a Pioneer, it's easier and it's the industry standard. You go out on a gig, you better know your way around a Pioneer cdj. But for those of you from the olden days who grew up on vinyl, like the tactile feel and like to do some scratching, this is the controller for you. Now one could argue that a set of turntables and a mixer with time coded vinyl is the real deal and the only way to go for the scratchers and turntablists. Having used both I have to say that this controller and it's direct link to Serato is perfect with zero lag. So when you manipulate the pitch control or touch the vinyl Serato displays this in real time. Not time coded "be there in second" time. It accomplishes this perfectly. When I had to assemble the decks and put the slipmats on it felt like unboxing my old Technic 1200's. I love it. So if you are bored of mixing on a Pioneer because they have made the art too easy, then you should give this a try. If you are used to digital dj'ing and want to learn to scratch this is perfect. Because trying to scratch with a jog dial is retarded and feels nothing like scratching on vinyl. This controller is digital vinyl. Be a real dj and buy it. It will challenge you in all the right ways.

Bought it new for 1300$ and it's total trash. Tried building 4 different computers, each with windows 7, windows 8.1, windows 10, and well... all worthless attempts with complete updates and all drivers installed. Fails to install most of and new versions of serato, to connect to serato, or to even have proper audio routing. his board will be seeing a sledge hammer before ever seeing a studio or a stage.
