i put my 15" mac book on top and stash my external hd and digital audio i/o underneath. its a little wobbly so depending on how much space is left underneath so i recommend shimming out the difference with some extra material (i use a small strip of neoprene). i like that it helps me save space on my desk top and makes my keyboard about 6 inches taller. i also like that i can route all my cables that plug into my computer through the legs to help keep them out of harms way. no adjustability, but it works for me.

its collapsable, but i dont usually break it down even if im transporting it for a gig. the legs fit into the plastic front piece pretty tight, so its kinda tough to get them in and out. the first time i pulled it apart it cracked a little, but in all fairness i was pretty rough with it, so im not that mad. now i know. still works just fine.

thick aluminum legs and hard plastic connector piece all seem quite sturdy, foam rubber padding on tops and bottoms to prevent slippage. its a pretty simple design.

$50 was reasonable for the first laptop stand i've ever invested in. it comes with a case for transporting it, but since i usually don't dismantle the stand, its pretty useless.

the simplicity of its design is what attracted me the most. no hardware the break or loose is essential.
