"Solid piece of gear and very easy to use."

Sound
The sound is very good
Features
I wish it had a visual beat counter and maybe a light socket but the features it has work well and the faders are smooth.
Ease of Use
I had never touched a mix before but had no problems working it. I bought it to use between karaoke songs. It has a playlist feature and a start fader feature so even though I'm not an experienced DJ, I have been able to do simple mixes and transitions easily.
Quality
Very well made. I bought the case with it and have no complaints.
Value
Good value for the price.
Manufacturer Support
So far I have not had to contact Numark.
The Wow Factor
It works as advertised, and has been a great starting DJ addition to my elaborate karaoke setup. Looks impressive too.

I just keep adding to my epquipment so when ever I have more $$.
Sound
Sounds great at a live show or at home playing around. Best you can get for the $$$
Features
Pretty bare bones. But the few features included all work well.
Ease of Use
Simple
Quality
My only problem is that I received a european power plug with my unit. Numark sent me a new one in less than a week.
Value
yes
Manufacturer Support
Yes they were very helpful and took me at my word. Never asked for the european plug back. They said to keep it.

"an intrsting piece of kit but beware of the problems iv had"
im looking for another setup now due to its unconvinient reliability but nxt timw ill go for seperate as less chance of breakages.. overall iv enjoyed using the unit but it has caused me problems. i cant sujest that these problems will occure with yours if your looking into buying one but be aware of my issues...
Sound
almost faultless sound quality, could do with little more adjustment in the higher end of the seperate channels but overall impresive sound
Features
an ample amount of features but ur paying for that on top of the cdmix 1 however additions like the seperate eq on two of the channels is most appriciated. loop functions good. pitch bend fairly delayed which can affect fine mixxes. but nice pitch range selectable 8-16%
Ease of Use
some features out of reach such as the master eq and headphone cannels for mixxin but in mobile disco especially easy and memorable
Quality
on my specific unit i have not been impressed by the build quality underneath the skin its vey tight and packed together... but very solid externaly..
my unit skips frequently when it likes and does overheat after long use causing loss of cd channel..and iv heard this to be a problem with other owners.
Value
yergood value compared to the rest of the market and deffinitly worth the extra as an appose to the cdmix1
Manufacturer Support
numark are genneraly friendly and keen to give advice but not quite so when somthing goes wrong with your unit.... to my experience
The Wow Factor
personaly i like the silver finnish makes it look that little bit more special than the typical black (work-horse) colour... but i dont see this as a majorly important sector as knowone in a disco particuly cares what ur decks look like mainly to the fact they cant see them

"Good if if lasts"
Sound
Sound quality is good for the price.
Features
Has all the basic features you'll need. It would be nice if it had a connection for a light on the board, 'though. Looping and buffered anti shock work very well.
Ease of Use
Anyone with an IQ of 10 can work this.
Quality
Here's the problem. I've had two of these now, and had trouble with one of the CD's players on each unit after just about 200-250 hours of play. First one I sent back, they tried twice to fix it and couldn't, so they sent me a refurbished one even though first one was essentially brand new. The reburbised one lasted a year before the left CD went out. I had a cd mix 1 that worked great for years, so I don't know what the problem is with the mix 2.
Value
Good unit for the price - if it lasts!
Manufacturer Support
Couldn't fix my problem after two tries. Very frustrating.

"I love the Numark CD mix 2. I have used Numark products for many years. It's very compact, looks great, light weight. I keep it"
I have a DJ company and would also purchase another as a back.
Sound
The sound is fantastic.
Features
Just the right size and weight. All features I need are right at your finger tips.
Ease of Use
It's fast, hardly any waiting for the CD to take its time to cue up.
Quality
I had one CD that would not cue up. It worked well on other machines??
Value
Priced right, good value for your money.
Manufacturer Support
Did not need to contact anyone.
The Wow Factor
It has that typical Numark look.

"this product needs upgrading."
50 per cent sataisfied...
Sound
VERY GOOD,SOUNDWISE... WHEN WORKING PROPERLY, IT IS GOOD.
Features
NO ACESSORIES, IT SHOUD THO...LIKE HEAVY DUTY CABLES FOR SPEAKERS & REPAIR MANUAL-TROUBLESHOOTER MANUAL
Ease of Use
IT IS RELATIVELY EASY....
Quality
The connections for speaker cables are faulty & need to be re-inforced, made stronger.... the cd players also are faulty, they suffer from dust contamination whereby sound is static filled,crackling....the body structure is weak as well a more durable thicker body is needed.
THE MIC CONNEX DO NOT ALWAYS WORK...RE-SOLDERING IN IN ORDER FOR ALL CONNEX.
Value
it's okay but,IT IS BELOW ONLINE VALUE, NEEDS UPGRADES IN WORKMANSHIP
Manufacturer Support
Sent back one, received a replacement in short time but the issues thAt plauged the first one popped up on the second one.
a longer warranty is needed.
The Wow Factor
looks good, simplistic in form, function.

"It's great...when it works!"
Verified Customer
zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I'm already looking for a replacement. because of customer service "unfriendlyness" I have eliminated all Numark products from my equipment inventory.
Sound
The sound is good. Whatever is on the cd is what comes out. Nothing more or less.
Features
No BPM counter. Everything else I want is on it. Looping works great.
Love the crossfader start option. Could use a mic mute button!
Quality
The outer case looks pretty tough for regular handling. I don't use a case on mine. no damage yet but I'm Careful. I have had two of these and they aren't reliable. The #1 player stopped working mid gig on its THIRD show. The first one quit working after a few hours.
When it works it works great...when it doesn't it makes you want to pull your hair out. Plugged it in the day after it failed everything worked fine??
Value
Its a great value if it was more reliable.
Manufacturer Support
They suck. Told me they could fix it. No apologies (or suprise) when I described the problem. Even though player ahould still be under warranty I would have to pay because i don't have the original box!
The Wow Factor
It would be great if it were reliable. Definately can't count on it to last all night.

"Excellent for beginners and intermediate djs. Straight forward mixer that helps you really learn the art of mixing without relyi"
I would get turn tables next but keep this unit as long as it's kicking for cd mixing :)
Have to say, people who into a lot of effects and scratching with CDs should not buy this product, as affects are pretty limited. Personally, i use looping once in a while and nothing else from the effects section.
Features
base and tremble knobs for each channel -- the best feature!!! would like to see mids and highs as well (right now they are only in main eq).
Anti-skip protection is really nice.
The fader slide is a little shaky.
Fader relay is nice, although i don't use it.
Beat-counter would be a nice addition too.
Quality
Faders are a little shaky, not smooth.
I've had it for almost a year useing it every week for about 15-20 hours and nothing broke so far. The unit is very easy to move and i like that it is pretty compact in size.
Value
The best for the price i paid, certainly! :)
The Wow Factor
The design could be a little better. It really has a "retro numark" look to it. Usebility wise it is really well designed. The only suggestion i have is to put main eq knobs closer to the channel's. Right now it's to far and if you want to adjust the main sound as you mix, your hand simple cannot reach it if you want to adjust channel's eq at the same time.

"Don't let this happen to you. . ."
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
Sound
It sounds great when it's working. By the 3rd gig, the speaker outputs needed to be taped in at an angle to keep the connections & CD 1 developed a case of static to the point I can't use it at all and the mic channel is touchy at best.
Features
No accessories
Ease of Use
Again, Great little system in theory.
Quality
Cosmeticly it's lovely - not at all dependable. I just HOPE the CD player left & the Aux input don't die on me.
This is actually the second one - the first one I got started w/static in CD 2 & a dead speaker output. I returned that one & got the one that I hate now - the replacement.
As far as I'm concerned it the equivalent of a bic lighter - totally disposable - waste of money for my needs.
I can only assume they are all made poorly since I'm 2 for 2 now.
Value
I got a total of 2 1/2 gigs out of it - before things went south.
The Wow Factor
Um, No.

"Get what you pay for"
i would buy another one just cause it;s cheep and compact
Sound
The sound is not Dynamic.
Features
The jog wheel is not as smooth as cd mix 1 it clicks. When beat mixing it takes longer to match the beats.
Quality
power cord issues the connection on the unit burnt out right in the middle of a gig twice. lucky i had my lap top for a back up. I only buy these cause they are cheap $$$
also slide controls get stiff evan after using lube on them.
Manufacturer Support
had to send to a company in l.a. twice to fix cd mix 1 & 2 with shipping over a hundred dollars

Sound

Features

Ease of Use
anyone with half a brain could learn to use it very quickly
Quality
No problems so far. Hope it stays that way :.)
Value
Excellent
Manufacturer Support
