I own a Squier Bullet Tele that I had set up for 13 gauge strings by a luthier, added a bone nut and high quality locking tuners. This Control Plate, I just had replaced. The 4-way switch adds bridge/neck in series and the tone control is much smoother. Also, the jack provides a much better contact than the jack the guitar came with. Overall, the guitar sounds much better now, and at a cost base of $700 ($180 for the guitar, $200 for the luthier, $160 for the tuners, $100 for the Control Plate plus $60 install) I have a guitar that sounds better than many at twice the cost. Highly recommend this, even if it's just for the jack and tone control.
