Just the fact that this thing is already mapped for ALL Logic Plugins (and many of the stock instruments & amps) right out of the box is amazing, but in addition to that it also has many third party plugins mapped from companies like UA, Waves, Plugin Boutique etc..., if it isn't already mapped or you want to change the mapping, you can do it "on the fly" (just remember to save it), or use the included Nektarine software for full comprehensive mapping ability.I have also used this control surface with Reaper (works GREAT), with Studio One 7, (a few minor quirks but still great). It also works really well with Cubase I'm told, but I don't work in that DAW, so I can't verify.

There is a fairly steep learning curve, I mean you can get rolling pretty quick, but to really understand all of the stuff "under the hood" it WILL take a time commitment, but once you get it, it'll become a staple in your studio.

Though this control surface top panel is plastic, it feels robust. The unit is fairly heavy, overall construction is quite good. It doesn't feel cheap at all.I also bought the Decksaver cover for it, money well spent in my opinion.

This control surface is well worth the price, in fact it's probably priced lower than it realistically could be. (rarely would I say THAT)

I've dealt with Nektar exactly one time about a specific third party plugin mapping issue, the support was FAST and they were able to duplicate (and resolve) the issue.
