I bought this on payments and it came in the mail and at first glance it looked decent for the money. I plugged it in and was immediately disappointed within seconds. It sounded like it had a gate in it and every time you stopped playing and started again, the gate would lag opening and your initial signal was late coming in making it cut off your first couple of notes. After trying multiple settings, reading the book nothing worked and it was still there. I get that these units have a squelch feature and you typically can adjust it, but this one doesn’t and you can’t get rid of the delayed opening of whatever the gate or squelch is! So after messing with it for over an hour with no change I was done. I called zZounds and they wouldn’t let me return it due to health reasons. I mean I get that, but all in the same note it’s a 300 dollar unit that I’m stuck with that I’m completely dissatisfied with and I’ve only made the first payment! After speaking with management and still no return. Very irritating considering I’ve bought thousands of dollars of gear from zZounds and have sent friends who have also done the same and they still refused to do anything. It’s a shame that your long time customers mean nothing.

"Not good for Bass Players"

Like they say, you get what you pay for. The price is what first attracted me to this item but the product is no good. As a bass player, my low end cuts out even at minimal levels. I play in a 5 peice band with drums, guitar, keyboard and horns with vocals. The moment I play one not the unit sounds as if there is alot of compression on and kills my sound and consequentially everything else gets squashed as well. I have tried everything from lowering the signal in and more but it doesn't help. The other issue is if you as much as brush the antenna on your pack, then you lose signal. This is one of the worst investments I have made as a musician.
