This is not only a beat machine but also an arranger, sampler, and has it's own DAW! The sound quality is by far the best I've experienced in any software based instrument hands down! It doesn't matter which one you get from micro to studio, it is a must have and will motivate you to use it everyday!!! I use it with Logic Pro X.

You get what you pay for this is a true beat machine. It combines both software and hardware seamlessly. Was on the fence with this one and the Akai mpc studio since i started with the 2000xl. However their delay with the MPC 2.0 software and the MPC studio Black pushed me to NI mikro and glad I did. The horror stories with Akai did not help also i am not impressed by the touch. The mikro is perfect I use on my Mac Pro (Logic X) and my PC Workstation (Sonar). Learning curve and work flow took about a weekend of play. Had it about a month now and have sold 12 tracks off this so yes it will pay for itself. The old school work flow takes you back to old MPC hardware days of testing sounds and instantly sampling ideas. also the AU/VST is on point but by far the drag and drop of tracks directly in your daw feature is the killer. I can arrange and mix down in 15m be done.

I love this product. It has been great. My workflow is smoother now. I can go back and forth between the Maschine and my Keyboard in order to produce soundscapes that will blow your mind.

There isn't a million things to type out. The Maschine is an absolutely essential piece of equipment! Set up takes a little while to download and install everything. Once installation is complete I guarantee you will be smiling with your head nodding within 15 mins!

Easy to use compact also has keyboard and can use use a midi board to control the program

If your maschine is disconnecting after 30 sec check your security program it could be turn to stop running in the background or in sleep mode while not in use this will cause u to restart your computer to start maschine again.

I have to mpc's the 1000 and the 500 , however the price of the maschine mikro seemed to good to be true but I have to say its worth every cent it does 10 times more then the mpc. This is the 2nd purchase that I have made through the pay as you play plan and not only is it at the cheapest price it is the best company to purchase eqiuptment from

i use ableton and this sun of a gun is amazing for triggering your fx, drums, or whatever u want,even entire songs..maschine is just fun and looks sexy on stage. i dont really see the need for cdj's when u can just use this genius product to start your songs.. not to mention u can color set to whatever u want with the controller editor..

Shipped with bad USB cable. Disconnects from PC after 30 seconds of use with new cable. Does not integrate with Pro Tools v10. Probably better for Mac based systems running non-Avid DAWs. Windows users, stay away. Drivers and AAX plugin compatibility not ready for primetime.
