This is the real deal folks. It might not be handmade by Analog Mike himself, but it’s excellent just the same. Very smooth, full of soul, and easy to dial in a nice sound. The boost is just that- a boost and only adds some grit if you max out the gain and crank up the volume. The Distortion is subtle, so don’t expect Boss DS-1-style buzziness. It’s much smoother best used for blues or country. The Overdrive is where it’s at with this pedal. It adds the kind of grit that accentuates your picking dynamics, so if you strike the note subtly, it’s quiet, and if you dig in, you can hear the grit kick in. And its stacks incredibly well. One of the best features of this pedal is that the volume gets to unity at around 2 o’clock. Most overdrive pedals are at unity at about 10 o’clock so the added headroom makes it able to accentuate dynamics beautifully. If you’ve had this on order for awhile keep on keepin’ on because it’s totally worth it.
