Alright, to be perfectly upfront - there is better stuff out there. However, for a hundred bucks, you can't do much better. But there are a few things you need to be aware of with this unit.First off, as a previous reviewer alluded to, it's very easy to misalign this unit. The problem is that it's still very flexible as the top is being screwed in and once you screw in the top, you can have a seriously misaligned unit. So here's the most important tip I can offer to resolve this issue: you have to take a piece of rack gear, or at least a blank, and screw it into one of the middle positions on the rack before screwing the top down. If you place it in a top rack position, you won't be able to fit your screwdriver in. If you put it in a bottom position, it won't give you the rigidity you need to keep everything square. But with a piece of gear bolted in, the rack will stay rigid and you can be confident in having a working unit.Upon close and deep inspection, such as while putting this unit together, you will no doubt realize how cheap it is. However, you will also realize that it's pretty cleverly designed and goes together surprisingly easily. It looks pretty nice. The size is reasonable, although the desktop space really isn't sufficient to get proper spacing a pair of monitors. Nevertheless, for around a hundred bucks, there's not much out there that seems much better. I'm happy with it, and it works. Just make sure you are keeping the rack ears aligned with a piece of gear as you're screwing in the top. If you simply rely on the pre-drilled holes, it's not going to go together right.
I rated the sound as a 5 on this. I like the sound it makes when I bang my head against it. WTH. Why can't I leave some scores blank? Rank units don't make sound, duh!

Obviously this isn't the most amazing rack you can get, but for the money it's great. As long as you take your time putting it together everything should line up easy. I actually put it together with the top on the floor and didnt have an issue putting in my rack gear when it was done. Feels very solid after assembly. Can't beat it for the cheap price

Sturdy, easy to assemble no issues with rack hole alignment and loads of rack screws.
I used castors and will probably buy a set for the desk that I also own so that height matches. Mine was backordered so if in stock grab one quick, I prefer the black finish to fake wood, to my mind it's not pretending to be something it is not. 5 stars for sound because it's very quiet, the wheels don't squeak..... update your software zZounds, need to be able to miss or N/A the sound rating when it obviously is not appropriate

I bought this product and was very disappointed in the build quality. Holes did not line up properly, the metal frame seemed a bit off. It actually looked warped to me. I couldn't even get the tabletop section attached because the holes were so far off. Even the frame looked crooked once the brace was attached. I tried to see if i could even fit a piece of rack gear in the rack (without the tabletop attached) and the rack holes wouldn't line up either. I know this is not going to happen with every one of these and I'm sure I got a bad one but it goes to show what kind of quality control they have.

Dings in the side panels were rectified on one side by placing the panel inward. The other panel had dings on both sides. Then the simplicity of the item would dictate easy assemble except when the top got screwed on it was found to have been drilled wrong from the factory. So at the bottom of the rack it measure appropriately for any rack gear but at the top of the rack it was a half inch wider and would be impossible to screw any rack gear into it. This item was rendered useless by this flaw. Also, when carefully examined, one has to wonder about the minimal spot welds between the rack rails and the frame. Then you read it's weight capacity at 200lbs...then laugh. Do I trust my expensive rack pieces in this cabinet? Uh...NOOOO! It got returned with no exchange desired.

This was my worst purchase from zZounds by far!!! It had nothing with the deliver of the item or zZounds but the construction of the item itself. I purchased two of these and the only thing they are good for is to put something on top of them. The space intended to mount your gear is too wide on both of my cabinets and are basically useless and I was mounting gear from Roland, E-Mu, M-Audio and Yamaha so it can't be the manufactures of those items. Don't buy this item.
