First, let me start out by saying I have been a professional musician and soundman for over 20 years and careful with my gear.. That said, when I first got the stand, I was impressed with the weight and what “seemed” to be like it would be a durable mic stand. I haven’t used the mic stand more than a couple of dozen times since buying new and setting it up as my personal boom as a pro entertainer, when the bottom screw for the tripod leg adjustment totally stripped out. For those who don’t know, without that screw being able to tighten the tripod legs to the stand, you have to hold the stand below the height adjustment clutch to loosen every single time you need to adjust for set up and break down. Extremely annoying and disappointed in this product. Why they would go through the rigors of making such a heavy stand with very poor quality screws with threads that strip out so easily is beyond me. For the price I paid for this, I find it quite ridiculous as such a simple thing installed on this product, was made with inexpensive and piss poor materials!
