"On-Stage LS7720BLT Lighting Stand "

I rate this stand a solid four stars for each category. I got the On-Stage LS7720BLT Lighting Stand together with some other items to qualify for the 'Play as You Pay' four payment plan. This is my fourth purchase from Zzounds.Where others have turned me down for financing, Zzounds with their 'Play as You Pay' four payment plan has allowed me to finally afford the equipment I want. Thanks Zzounds - I'd rate you ten stars if I could!
Makes the expected clinking and clanking noises when being assembled and disassembled. Ha ha.
This stand is meant to be used to support up to 8 par cans. But I bought it to hang some light weight LED lighting effects from so I may or may not use the lower side mount bars. I will not be using the included hanging bolts as I have American DJ O-Clamp's.
Ease of Use
Breaks down into several component pieces for easy transport or storage. Easy to put up and take down by myself. A second person would come in handy but if the number and weight of the lights used is kept low one person can handle it.
The friction adjustment knobs are plastic (or maybe graphite?) and I have some concern for them breaking within time because the first unit I received had a broken one. I contacted Zzounds immediately and the mailed me a return label. The second unit was good to go. The locking pins are metal and I suspect will last longer and can be used alone in a pinch if the friction adjustment knobs ever fail. It would be nice to know if replacement friction adjustment knobs could be bought - maybe just to have a spare.
I did not have to deal with the manufacturer. Zzounds customer support is courteous, prompt and helpful. I truly believe that Zzounds really cares about making their customers satisfied.
The Wow Factor
It's not too fancy - it does what it does and seems to do it well.
