"Reliable, awesome sounding amp - get one!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Can't see me changing to anything else, if it went missing I would have another.
Sound
Very wide range of sounds on crunch and lead channels, clean channel is a muted by comparison. Has enough power to rise above the rest of the band.
Features
The footswitch is the achilles heel of this amp, I've had mine repaired numerous times and even had a replacement from Marshall. It seems that the wiring isn't up to the job.
Ease of Use
If you can't get several usable sounds from this amp then you must be deaf!
Quality
See comments about footswitch, if that were sorted the amp would get a 10
Value
I bought this from a guy who had previously had a Mesa Boogie but preferred the Marshall. It's the best amp I've ever had for gigging - but it would be better if it could be powered down to 50 watts instead of 25.
Manufacturer Support
I live in the UK so when I took the amp to the Marshall factory they not only replaced the footswitch but carried out a service, replaced valves and other modifications all for free! Beat that!!
The Wow Factor
It does the job for me and is reliable.

Musical Background:

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
love that vintage Clapton sound this will bring tears to the eyes. This will get you that distinctive "violin" sound that blues guitaists crave. Also the clean channel allows you to play surf music at a click of the footwsitch
Features
I wish I could switch to 50 watts
Ease of Use
There are a lot of knbs and switches, but once youv'e played with it for a couple of hours your all set
Quality
The quality is outstanding
Value
This amp must be worth $1700 by todays prices I paid 1500
Manufacturer Support
I have not worked with Marshall
