If this amp holds up, as I expect it to do, my next purchase will be either the Marshall MG30DFX or another MG15CD. In short, I was so happy with the way this operated, looked and sounded, that I've switched from Fender. *My last Fender was a hot rod deluxe* I'd love this thing in stereo! What would lead me to a different product is pretty simple. As good or better sounds in a more powerful version, or more features. Right now I'd have to say.. lost or stolen, I'd replace it with the exact same thing immediately. What I like best is that great sound, for that small dollar. This is exactly what I'd hoped for. The only thing that could make this better is a ten inch speaker! *marshall ought to think about that* In fact, I'd be willing to pay a fair price for an outboard cabinet with the same 8" speaker in it. This would make a really sexy looking stack!
Sound
I tried this in local music stores against Peavey, Fender Bullet, Vox, Behringer, and Crate. The Vox came close, The Fender bullet came in second. But the Marshall really had it for clean and distortion at some volume. Very nice.
Features
I'm giving this a ten because it has the fewest features, really. Just overdrive. I liked the Vox Pathfinders sound, but they have a bit of a reputation for problems, and I don't really need tremolo. The Fender had lots of features, but to me, that was just more to go wrong.
Quality
The model I saw was perfect in every way. Gave a very strong impression to me that Marshall treats this practice amp with respect from start to finish. Looks great!
Value
The other amps were ten to thirty dollars more. I have to think that for sound quality this MG15CD is the best deal. I would have paid more.
Manufacturer Support
I have no idea. I haven't got the amp yet. I'm giving them a ten for kicks. *S*
The Wow Factor
Look, this thing looks just fine. Solid, well made, everywhere. It makes you feel secure especially in comparison to other amps I've tried out. I'm glad they have the big Marshall logo on the front. Looks great. What makes this thing is that the sound matches the great looks. Lots of lows.. clean headroom..and probably the best overdrive/distortion I heard from any of them. The Fender Bullet had good sounds.. but not the oomph of the Marshall, and you had to tweak it a lot.

"Perfect first amp for you young rockers!"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

This amp is great if you're just starting to play, are low on funds, and are a fan of hard rock music. No doubt it's not for everyone.
Sound
Distortion is thick but not muddy - you can distinguish notes within the chord. Clean is pretty good for a Marshall but you'd expect it to be considering it's solid state. Many variations of overdrive/distortion.
Features
Great for the price. Pay a little more to get reverb, if desired. But this is really all you need.
Quality
Solid, attractive. Some plastic around jacks may be a concern.
Value
Very good value. Maybe the Marshall name adds to the price but this is offset by knowing you own a Marshall.
Manufacturer Support

The Wow Factor
It's a Marshall. For us fans that's enough.

i thnink its just great as long as you dont have a band that practices really regularly!!!
Sound
the sound is just great...especially if you're practicing a home.although now that i have a band it isnt really loud enough for practice sessions(gotta crank up the volume to 8-9 which isnt really good for the amp)but hey...you cant excpect too much from a 15W can ya!!
Features
i think that the amount of features are pretty adequate...although a few more EQ controls would have been nice!!
Quality
really sturdy!!nice n small so that it isnt too much trouble carrying it around!!
Value
i bought it really cheap(or at least thats what i think!!)n i love it!!
Manufacturer Support
no problem so far!!
