I saw this beauty, and I fell in love. It plays smoothly, and looks amazing. The back and sides are koa fine veneer, which I was worried about, but I did some research and found that underneath the koa is solid mahogany. Please correct me if Im wrong!! Even so, it plays wonderfully. I ordered it it from zZounds, and recieved it in two days via fed ex, and it arrived undamaged and in perfect shape. I will be a return customer, and my next Martin will be a USA model!

Thank you so much zZounds for putting up with my compulsive guitar critique. I have a big show coming up soon and I needed a new quality acoustic with my personal sound preferences. After 3 cancelled orders of and two guitars sent back I finally got what I was looking for with the Martin SC-13E electric acoustic. My anxiety level over finding the right guitar in time has finally been subdued. After ordering the Martin I continued on researching with YouTube videos. Then I started seeing comments of people saying it sounded twangy and no low end. So needless to say I stared stressing out again because the Martin is due to be delivered within a couple of days and I am already prepared to return it. Let’s just say all those negative comments was a bunch of bunk. After unboxing the guitar my eyes was deeply satisfied and in awe of the woodwork and grain. After hitting the low E string with a pick what do I hear??? The sweet feel and sound of bass. So I immediately plug it in to my Marshall AS50D which I also got from zZounds and the bass I hear from this guitar is everything but lacking. Shew!! I can finally breath. I can’t wait to play my show now. If your thinking about getting this guitar go ahead and pull the trigger. Nobody is more picky with guitars than me. Thanks again for putting up with me zZounds. I can assure you I will be back.

I was limited with my budget. It concerned me. Couldn’t be happier. Tone and beauty wrapped up in playability. Light weight helps my bad reconstructed back play for hours. Love it !!! I have others to compare and it’s tops.
