Martin OMCPA4 Rosewood Performing Artist Acoustic-Electric Guitar, with Case

Impeccable Martin craftsmanship is evident in the OMCPA4, with its fast Performing Artist neck, Sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides.

Ordered my Martin OMCPA4 on Sunday afternoon and it arrived just as promised by zZounds. Packaging was done very well and every thing was great except for the carrier leaving it outside the garage door. Luckily I took the dog out and found it only 10 minutes after delivery. Not zZounds fault. Absolutely love the guitar. Always wanted a Martin and now I have one. Thanks

I've had several martins over the years and this one is every bit a Martin as they were. Absolutely love the pickup system in this and the built in tuner is wonderful. Martin has taken the newest technology and blended it with quality craftsmanship to produce this beautiful instrument. Warm and woody, crisp and clean this guitar is art in action. The thinner, smaller body makes it easy to play and does not leave it lacking in the tone or volume departments. Great guitar! Thank you Martin.

Musical Background:

Been playing 25 years and leading worship at numerous churches for years as well.

Musical Style:

I play Blues, rock, worship, metal, country, slide, fingerstyle, alternate tunings.

Nice guitar for the money, needed a setup and I had a bone saddle installed, then some elixir hd light strings and she really came to life, has a very comfortable feel. Cant beat the 12 month payments!!! the on board tuner and pre amp are nothing to write home about, but i am still satisfied with the guitar.

I've always thought that Larrivees had better "tone" than Martins until I bought this guitar. Now, I'm not so sure. This one (a Rosewood) sounds so complex and (for want of a better word) "refined" that it's almost a little intimidating to play. The Richlite doesn't feel quite as nice as wood, but it seems to create a more stable neck that holds tune quite well. My hope is that as the instrument "opens," it will grow louder and a little "sloppier" so it is more like it's owner. I haven't plugged it in to anything yet but I've heard the Fishman amp is the best choice.
