I have compared this to friend's D-18 and D-35 and find that the D-16 has more dynamics & volume straight out of the box. Mine is only 1.5 years old but is opening already. Not as much dynamics as my son's '65 0-18 but on it's way. Can't wait til it's really maturing.
Great guitar. I feel lucky to get a full D-16 before they were discontinued :)
