"D1228 WOW MAGIC"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I have several guitars of distinction, including a 50 year old Hummingbird, and a fresh D-28 6 string, which I love.. but this 12 is so rich and vibrant not to mention easy to play, yes that's right easy to handle, very compliant. I just cannot put it down! You have to treat her like a lady and oh man does it sing! I find it hard to put down the sound is magical, and the sustain goes on forever. There is a learning curve to playing 12 strings, just slow it down and let the sustain do its job. Take your time practice your scales, improve your accuracy build your strength, and do not forget your pinky. It may not be for everybody but if you ever had doubts as to which 12 string you wanted, look no further this is an heirloom guitar that your grand kids will love 50 years from now. And oh yea it is a Martin what more is there to say.... Just do it go get one you will not regret it ever!!!

I have always wanted a Martin guitar. I have a collection of other acoustics except for a 12 string, so I chose it for my first Martin. I have not been disappointed with my choice. It is a beautifully constructed Dreadnaught. The tone and sustain are unbelievable. I can't put it down, it so easy to play. I cannot wait to purchase a 6 string Martin. Thank you zZounds for your courteous service and you play as you pay system. I could not have made this purchase without it.
