"How Low Can You Go?"

For what it does it does it well, as advertised. You want Slipknot/Slayer/Job For A Cowboy/Children Of Bodom tunings without the hassle of having to setup your guitar each time then this is the pedal for you. Keep in mind what I said above...there will be some change in your tone depending on how far you go down. But it does track very quickly with almost no latency. Power chords are now playable at lower pitches without the hassle and expense of a second (or third, or fourth...) guitar
Sound
Make no mistake. This WILL color the sound of your guitar from only very slightly to somewhat more noticeable depending on how far down you go. But what do you expect afterall? That's exactly what it's supposed to do. Does it sound exactly like the same guitar that has been physically detuned? Almost. And like I said before it all depends on how low you go. I seemed to be losing midrange the further down I went. Anything past about six half steps and it started to sound more processed. Maybe it's my guitars (Ibanez Xiphos's with Dimarzio D Activator pickups). But anything lower than six half steps I really don't have much use for anyway (most of the heaviest metal bands only tune down to Bb with a dropped Ab E string, so I'm well within that parameter). Also, with an actual detuned guitar the dynamics of the loosened strings come into play as well. All in all it seems to track the signal remarkably well and you can actually play chords with it without the unit sounding like it's regurgitating like you would with an ordinary pitch shifting pedal.
Features
It's a BIG footprint for your pedalboard, about twice the width of a standard pedal. However the footswitches are well spaced so you don't have to worry about accidently stepping on two switches at the same time. The display is well lit and very easy to see. The "Effect" and "Toggle" switches light up when the unit is engaged so you know where you're at.
Ease of Use
The unit has a "Trim" control for setting the zero point for the tracking processor. Please set this correctly each time you power up the unit to get the best results. It may take a few extra moments but it needs to be done to get the best sound. After that, all you have to do is step on the switches. One thing to be aware of is that when the pedal is engaged you can only detune down. To get the unit to tune back up several steps you have to disengage and then climb back up. The middle switch functions as a toggle when the unit is engaged to toggle between the detuning and the guitar's standard tuning though.
Quality
Seems solidly built. All metal housing and quality switches.
Value
Well, heck! I'm saving a couple grand not having to buy three other floating trem guitars to do my various tunings. That to me is a great value.
Manufacturer Support
Don't know. New company. New product. We'll see
The Wow Factor
There's nothing really physical that makes this pedal special in appearance. But why would anyone buy an effects pedal only because it looks "sexy"? It looks and acts very functional with a well lit display. That's my only criteria
