Im not 100% sure that I would purchase the Monster Beats Solo again. I feel that they are a bit overpriced and there are probably better headphones on the market in the $200.00 price range. That said, they are comfortable, sound good and seem to be reliable. I would rather just stick with these and be happy with the results then return them in hopes of exchanging them with something that may sound better..
Sound
Very Bass heavy sound..I primarily listen to rock music and with a bit of EQ tweaking, the Monster Beats Solo are more than adequate. When listening through my iPhone, selecting the "Sound Check" option in the Settings---->iPod menu makes a great difference. I also set the EQ itself to "Flat". I am very satisfied with these headphones.
Features
Great set of features included with the Monster Beats Solo. The iPod control cable is especially helpful. While others may complain about the fit, I find them quite comfortable.
Ease of Use
Other than the EQ tweaking on the iPhone, these headphones are pretty much plug and play. Just decide if you are going to use the iPod/iPhone control cable or the regular one, plug em in and off you go. I did perform a 48 hour break-in with a constant loop of Muse's Black Holes and Revelations in FLAC to help accelerate the natural progression of new headphones opening up.
Quality
My biggest concern is the headband. I have heard of many horror stories about owners putting these headphones on, only to have them snap in half at any given moment. Ive pulled these apart pretty aggressively and the band did not even squeak. Im really hoping that durability will not be an issue with these $200.00 headphones. From what I have read, Monster's customer service is not that great.

I feel that these headphones are not worth the selling price compared to other headphones.

The Wow Factor
This is the main reason why I purchased these headphones. I find them very fashionable and quite modern looking. I guess Im lucky that they are actually a decent sounding headphone to boot!
