I will have these head phones forever. I'm actually looking to get them in every color that they come out with. The Beats are far ahead of the competition. They are by far the BEST head phones I have ever wore. If I lost my pair, I would be buying another pair from the same company. Hands down, the thing I like the most about them is the "Sound".
Sound
The sound from these head phones are amazing. the quality is definitely "Top Notch". The sound is extremely expressive. The head phones give me the sound that I have been looking for! Sometimes there is distortion in the Bass frequencies, however it is normally due to the fact that I have my monitor head phone volume too loud. The sound is superb in live and recording settings. I use my Beats for production work with "Pro Tools" and "Ableton Live". They are also used in Live performances with a program called Scratch Live. Hands down "The best sounding head phones around"
Features
The Beats came with a few accessories. A very nifty cleaning cloth for the head phones themselves. 2 sets of cords. One normal headphone cord and the other is for your Iphone. There was also a very nice carrying case for the head phones as well.
Ease of Use
They were very easy to use. I have not had the need to modify the sound, it sounds perfect as is. Very easy to use with other products. The manual put everything in very simple terms so it was very easy to follow.
Quality
The Beats are very sleek, slim and slick. The are extremely sturdy and dependable. They are very reliable. These are now the only head phones that I use. In addition the head phones have a great battery life! :)
Value
Although they are expensive, These headphones are worth every penny!
Manufacturer Support
Everything has been great. Haven't needed any support as of yet.
The Wow Factor
The "Sex Appeal" of this product is huge. Some of the Top DJ's, Producers and Artist's are seen wearing Beats. They are seen as stylish and attractive. Most people want what they see is trendy amongst others.

"A expensive fashion accessory, with $20 sound, and $5 build quality."

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I bought a pair of Shures a week after buying these. I sent the 3rd broken pair into monster, and when I get them back im giving them to a co-worker. My expectations of these were very high given the price, and the hype behind them. But all these headphones are, are fashion accessories. Made simply to look "cool", and sold at a remarkable high premium for the dr dre, and monster name.
Sound
With the exception of bass, which is most of the time over bloated, the sound quality is horrible for this price range. Mids are recessed, and hollow, and treble is just muddy. A very low quality sound.
Ease of Use
they're headphones, easy as can be.
Quality
These have to be the the most brittle headphones I've ever owned, and Im OCD with the care of my headphones. Screws falling out, they headband snapped off, right at the slider point. Utter rubbish quality.
Value
Not a good value at all. Skull candies sound the same, have marginally better build quality, and cost much less.
Manufacturer Support
pretty good, you call monster, send them in, they send a pair back, you put them on they break, and repeat.
The Wow Factor
the design of the casing screams out gotta have, and the bloated hype by celebrities paid off by monster, and marketing created a air of must have for these as a fashion accessory.

"You can't go wrong with the Monster Beats By Dr. Dre Studio"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

I own both the Beats Solo and Studio and use them with my iPhone. I had the solo's about 3 weeks before I bought the studios. At first I thought the solo were the better of the 2. Both bring something different to the table. The solo's are very very very extremely comfortable and sounds great at low to slightly over moderate volume and doesnt leak much sound at all. Did I mention how comfortable they were. When you are rock them the bass shakes your ear drums as if you were sitting in a car with a booming system. The solo's are not noise cancelling but do the best job of any headphone damping the Now when I put the studios on... comfortable but not as much by far. They would have been extremely comfortable but the solo's are the best. The studios are best turned up loud but will distort. You have to set your eq setting to achieve the best volume to quality ratio. At really low volume is sounds a little like your in a tunnel. The battery life is long. I sleep with headphone on all night 6 plus hours per night and got about 96 hours of battery life. With the proper eq presets you can have these headphones sounding like music you have never heard before. You cant go wrong with the studios.
Sound
could be a 10 if you tweak your EQ settings
Features
noise cancellation and cord for iPhone and iPod works great
Ease of Use
there headphones.... very easy to use
Quality
high quality product
Value
a little pricey for headphones..... but they do advertise and they have to pay for that, so I understand the cost
Manufacturer Support
did'nt have to use support services
The Wow Factor
its the hottest headphones out, all the stars have them

"Would not recommend for professional use."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I can't complain, I've had the solos and the studios. If they would have just promoted these for a great listening experience than professional use, I probably wouldn't have got them. Not saying they are bad, but they are just not worth it for professional audio. Most I can do is mix or eq the bottom end of my tracks with more detail.
Sound
The sound is distinctive and good in it's own way. The sound is forceful and these headphones can get really loud. The reason I would never recommend these headphones to anyone is because of the sound stage. It really degrades the quality of the sound and instrument separation. I have a $150.00 pair of audio technicas that exceed the sound quality of these headphones. That is completely unacceptable. Don't get me wrong when I first got these headphones I loved them, but as I learn more about sounds, mixing, and recording I realized songs aren't being reproduced correctly through these headphones. Definitely not for mixing or professional audio guys, they have a good sound but not for studio use, ironically. These headphones have bass response like no other headphone and the noise cancellation feature works well. You won't need to listen to these at high volumes for they can really cause ear fatigue that's how strong the speakers are. The balance of sound, bass, mids, and highs are much much better than what you are used to, and that's what got me hooked on them. In reality they could have been better for the price, that's it Because I feel these headphones had great potential I'm going to try the pros.
Features
These headphones are really good for accessories, included is 1/4 adapter, extra monster cable, case, cloth, mute button on left ear (I think), and noise cancellation. If you pay for this product you definitely paid for these items, these are not like extras.
Ease of Use
Yeah, you plug in a cable to the headphones then the other end to the source, phone, ipod etc... Just make sure the switch is on the "on" position.
Quality
Not good at all for the price range. The fact that they're shiny kind of make me think they are not for serious heavy duty studio use. I kinda agree these where more for avid listeners who want fashionable headphones, and there is nothing wrong with that. But, they are plastic... and don't feel sturdy at all. Though they did last me and I didn't even put effort in taking care of them and cleaning them. These headphones couldn't possibly stay clean.
Value
These should have been $200.00 maybe $249.99 because you do get quality and features, and branding.
Manufacturer Support
They were absent when I needed a new cable... but I just let it go because it was just a cable.
The Wow Factor
Yeah, until you have them for a while. Nothing is what it seems for the most part. But you do get attention and other people will want them.

"Not recommended for listening or studio work just because the isolation and bleeding of sound. I wouldn't want any one else to"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Purchaser zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
I am sending these back right way before the 30 days are up. If they were stolen I would not purchase them again. I would certainly buy something else
Sound
These specific headphones sound great. The problem is that they sound to good for their own good. The isolation is very poor! If your using them for studio work such as I wanted them for, you will be disappointed. They bleed out sound extremely bad and the mic picks up every sound out of them. So for use as monitor headphones. No Way, No How. I can't believe that Dr. Dre and Monster did not take care of this problem or at least noticed it. You will totally annoy anyone that is sitting next you in a plane, train, or on public transportation. They will totally hear what your listening to very clearly.
Features
Isolation. They Bleed out Very Bad.
Ease of Use
They burn through batteries like butter.
Quality
The product is made well but for the buck, They should have covered every aspect of sound. Especially if there used for studio monitoring purposes.
Value
For the price, they did not do a very good job. too pricey for the lack of research they put into the product.
Manufacturer Support
Only reason I gave it a 10 is because I do have Monster products. I also have the LeBron James Powerbeats by Dre and they do sound really good and they do not bleed out. Really good for working out and having your music really in your face. Good Bass.
The Wow Factor
I bought them because of all the good reviews but when I actually used them and put them to work, I was very disappointed of the sound leakage it gives. Everyone else can hear what your listening to, and that can get very annoying.

"Good parts, good build, horribly overpriced"

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I *might* consider buying this product if the price were cut in half and I suddenly found myself desperate to have a hyped-sounding pair of expensive headphones.
Sound
Good quality components / design.
Features
I give it a low score on features because they spent a lot of time orchestrating this product to do things most people who are serious about their music would never do; see: blackberry, etc. compatibility.
Ease of Use
You plug them in and put them on your head. Not too much to comment on here.
Quality
Excellent build quality.
Value
For what they are, the price is obnoxious. I've heard better sounding, more accurate headphones for considerably less.
The Wow Factor
Monster has a long history of bullying small businesses, so that right there turns me off. The Dr. Dre thing does as well. Howabout just making a good product that can stand on its own without paying someone so you can drop their name (and jack the price up)? I get the impression that what they're trying to do here is sucker wanna-be producers that don't know any better.
