This is my 2nd Michael Kelly guitar purchase, and I have been greatly impressed with the quality of construction, excellent tone, and beautiful finish. Right out of the box, I sat down and playedthis Tele style guitar for several hours - I was so mesmerized by the beautiful tone. As far as I'm concerned, Michael Kelly guitars are better all the way around than MIM Fenders, and Epiphones.WAY better. These are amazing guitars at a bargain price.

Have been curious about Michael Kelly for some time , until now.Overall , great finish on the solid body , neck is smooth and fast - no sprouts to rip up your hands or fingers and am surprised by that for a lower priced guitar , control panel is cloth wired - you don’t see that often today , even on high end guitars - I’ve rewired many with pushback cloth wire and correct tone caps. This I will leave as is for now. Guitar required minor adjustments to set it up and so far holds in tune well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a decent looking , easy playing & good sounding guitar and the price is unbeatable.

I bought this guitar a few days ago, and I can't believe how good of a guitar it is. I really like the open pore finish. The neck is pretty amazing, the ebony fingerboard is so smooth. Frets are very good also, no fret spouts. Very nice pickups, the electronics are better than you would think. I honestly can't find anything wrong with this guitar, and I'm pretty picky. I know it's worth more than what it sells for. Also 4 way switch. And it looks real nice, pictures don't do it justice. If you want a real nice Tele style guitar, this one would be hard to beat. Also thanks zZounds for their help and great service.

I'm gonna try to keep this short.Really sweet matte finish ish, very well done. No overspray, I seriously cannot find a flaw on this guitar! Ok, you can kinda feel where the binding and wood meet on the sides, kinda. ( But not as much as my Gretsch 5410T. )The neck is nice, not too chunky, a smidge wider than my Japan Strat. The frets are really nice and required nothing cept maybe a polish when I change the strings. Really resonant guitar. I lowered the action a little, no buzz. Set up was good and intonation livable but may require a little adjustment YMMV. The pots work well enough. Probably this guitars weak point is the switch and pots. They are def workable but typical wierd taper and rolloffs. Not even that bad but I think this guitar would responds really nice to an electrical upgrade. The pickups are pretty good though. In between setting real twangy and bright, and satisfying. Dare i say plunky in a good way. It'll take you right into "becuase you're mine, I walk the line" vibe. The neck pickup by itself is twangy yet a little less but a nice bright smoothness. The bridge pickup has that Tele bite and very Brite. Takes overdrive like dream. Position 4 will take you head off. Hard rock, metal and you can roll it off to take things down a notch and cover classic rock sounds. Great guitar, especially for the money. So nice I kinda wonder how they did it.. A note to mod guys. The bridge on this seems tele like but also unique in the spacing on bridge pup in relation to saddles and the way the bridge is attach. The screw holes are all different spacings a locations than a Telecaster. If you intend to change out for a 3 saddle bridge I'd check thinks out really close. I'm just gonna play and be happy with it, I like the bridge just fine, really nice.
