I gave my Pearl Session Custom set to my nephew due to carpal and ulnar nerve issues after 40+ years. The last ten with no warm up or stretches got me. I couldn't stay away and with plenty of bit and pieces and a 75 Rogers kit and Meinl timbales I began again. For too long I ignored getting a solid grasp on latin beats that I love. A few cowbells later I was on it. Anyhow, this caught my eye. My old ride was crazy loud and this looked to be the bell I wanted.Ugly ping. Sounded like a blacksmith's shop. I take that back. A decent anvil sounds far better than this thing. Horrible piece of brass. Meinl should be ashamed. After spending piles on cybals over the years I should have known better. I am ashamed. It is shiny. Not worth the effort to return. Heat and a hammer and who knows. Trust me on this one.
Sound
This thing somehow managed to both, suck and blow, although it is very shiny.
