This guitar is great, the built in electronics are high quality. The built in tuner is in side the sound hole hidden from site, But extremely user friendly. It sounds very nice and bright. The more I play it the better it sounds. I love the black out look, it’s slick and very classy. I am very happy with my purchase and zZounds made it extremely easy and with quick delivery you can’t go wrong.

"It’s hard to beat a murdered-out Martin"
This guitar rules! Yeah the sides and back aren’t wood but for me that’s a good thing. Way less to worry about. It sounds incredible and looks mean. It’s a freaking murdered-out Martin, how cool is that!

I bought this because I knew nothing about guitars and everyone said get a Martin. I’m glad I listened. My wife can tell from the other room when I am playing this guitar. Don’t know if it’s the scalloped X bracing but it sounds amazing and looks amazing. I have had it almost for a year and I would totally buy it all over again. I bought it on looks and love it because the playability and the sound.

The first one I ordered came in smashed. Second one had dead frets. Third one was finally in one piece, needed a refret within a year after sitting safely in a temp/humidity controlled case. Out of the 18 months I've had it, 6 were spent shipping back and forth and dealing with the refret. Definitely a "you get what you pay for" situation with these lower end Martins.
Sound
The sound is hollow, tinny, and quiet. It definitely looks better than it sounds. Easy to dial in good sound plugged in, but it sounds lifeless unplugged.
Features
I'm not a fan of electronics moving into the soundhole. It's an odd trend in a space where soundhole covers are so prevalent. You can either toss aside the cover so you have access to controls, or you can forget about tuning and dialing in your sound.
Ease of Use
It played very well out of the box. Like I said, not much to speak of on the acoustic front, but plugged in it has been a pretty good workhorse.
Quality
Cosmetically, it's already a disaster. The matte black scratches super easily. I don't mind some battle scars, but this isn't the guitar for you if you do.
Value
I'd evaluate everything in the price range before pulling the trigger.

The Wow Factor
The main selling point for me was the look. Black on black, blacked out logo. No obvious branding, no ego, no name-chasing. It really does look sharp and lets the music speak for itself.
