Well...I feel if I take care of it like I so far have it should last me a good while but just like everything, I'm hoping it does not start acting up until at least 3-4 years from now but it all depends how one takes care of his stuff.
Sound
So far I have used it twice, the first time I used it for a total of 7 hours and it work beautifully and then used it for another party outside a back porch lake view and I felt the volume was low from where I was at, I'm a DJ by the way...and I walked away to use my phone and the sound carried pretty far and very clear crisp sound, good clear bass and the EQ part I love the most b/c its much easier to control the bass from the back of the speaker than my own EQ hooked up to my system. Again, I've only used it twice, have the speakers stored in a good place where there's insulation when not in use, and they look very nice, especially for weddings and special occasions. I have liked Mackie for a very long time, always wanted Mackie and finally was able to purchase at a very reasonable price from Zzounds. Thanks Zzounds!!

Sound
It really does THUMP! I pluged my Taylor into it and I could not be more pleased with the sound. I also have used it with my DJ mixer and again the sound is just great. I am waiting for the TH-18 so I can complete my set. I do not know how you can beat The Thump for the money. Oh did I say it only weighs 36lbs.

It sounds great. Clear. Perfect for a start up DJ or Experience Dj (just add a sub). The Bass is not that deep but it still gets the job done!

Only has an xlr plug( not included) the eq on the back is great for adjusting!
Ease of Use
Very easy. Plug and play! It is a little bit bulky(expected from a 15" speaker). But not too heavy.
Quality
I believe its made well. Time will tell. Only had this speaker for 3 days(11/18/09).
