40 Years in music and I think these rock The other review is right on point . These are not your typical battery powered speaker. Very deceiving for the size, If you can name a battery powered system I probably have owned and returned or sold it. I do many events yearly and the battery lasts over 5-6 hrs and will probably last longer I havent run them over 6 hrs., Unlike the high end brand which I will not mention the name, these hold a charge and even after being stored fully charged several months ago I just powered them up and they were still 3/4 charged. Now that our state is opening up from the pandemic they will be heavily used again this year. The factory bags fit perfect, I use 2 to DJ small events, and if theres power I add the fishman sub sa300. The app works great also! zZounds rock also awesome fast ship and support, I have bought thousands and thousands in gear over the years from zZounds over the past years thanks!

"Plays very loud with good bass."

I was concerned that this would be like every other personal monitor type of speaker that plays relatively loud but has no bass. I was pleasantly surprised when I fired this up. It plays much louder than I would have expected and had really good bass. Using the app, I slightly boosted the highs and lows for a little extra extension. VERY pleased with the performance. This thing can really fill a room with sound. I did have the Bose S1 and it was awful. The Bose processing boosted the bass so much that it would distort even at medium volume. Very disappointing.

"forget bose s1 pro"

I bought 2 of the freeplay lives trying to downsize when I dj at small venues. The volume of these when using a mixer is unbelievable considering the size. I do have to say when playing in my backyard through my phone the volume was not nearly as loud. I tested the bose s1 pro and they were not nearly as loud or as clear sounding. I played in a bar with over 100 people and no complaints. If you are thinking about getting a bose s1 try these out at half the price, cleaner and louder sound. oh, and they weigh 8 pounds. I used 2 of them the other night with a Fishman 8" sub for a job with 150 people and I got compliments about how well it sounded. give these bad boys a try. One of these for a musician with guitar and mike will definitely do the job. Only problem I had was matching up 2 speakers together on Bluetooth the 1st time. read the directions. I love these speakers.

I liked the first one so much I bought two, Excellent power, battery life, durable and loud, I use two of these for small DJ and karaoke gigs and add a small sub when necessary, I've had the other brands and after battery issues with them finally got these they are great! Mixer app for iPhone works well , get the mackie brand bags also they are worth it
