I was skeptical because I'm a "musician who can run sound" as opposed to a "musician who DOES run sound." I must say, however, that after toying around with the product for a while, and a brief 30-minute crash course from a local friend, I feel completely at-one with the DL1608. Obviously, having the gains separate from the iPad itself can be a drag, but if you set your levels properly at the very beginning of sound check, you shouldn't have to touch them again! I've had this system for a few weeks now, and I can't stop talking about it. The price is steep(roughly $1,500 for controller and iPad), and there's only room for four 1/4" inputs, but don't let that deter you. Between the size, weight, and awesomeness of 6 aux sends, I can't imagine why you wouldn't like this board as much as I have!

We are a 4 piece blues/rock "n" roll band. This mixer has plenty of channels, it is very user friendly, and the wireless function work very well without spending a bundle on an expensive router. this is a must buy!!!

Love it! Have done a few gigs with it and I have no complaints. Wi fi works great and easy with apple express. I tried a belkin nb600 and could only get wifi sync 2 times. Absolutely no problems with Apple. Record to ipad 1 a little glitchy. But not why I bought this. I bought for my cover band and rehearsalls.

Purchased this mixer four months ago. I upgrade my boards every year. This is the first touch screen mixer I have owned. It is used primarily for karaoke. I must say, if you know how to run sound, you can really get some great sound out of this baby. The user interface is simplistic. I continue to get compliments on the sound from my singers. I would definitely recommend this mixer. Dislikes I have always recorded my singers and although this board makes excellent quality recordings, it is a PITA to get them transferred through iTunes and to a flash drive. Likes I love the tap delay. Really allows me to sing delay with the karaoke tracks being performed. Also, I like the saved equalizer presets. My regular singers all have there own settings so that I can pull up their settings quickly.
