"Awesome - and nothing comes close in this price range"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
Clean, clear, noiseless. Reviewer who said that the sound is too clean, is tally clueless and probably works for a competitor. How can a sound be to clean when we all strive to have no noise. This think is awesome and I se it for live shows all the time driving 4 mics keyboard and digital drum-kit
Features
Would have been nice to have a wider range EQ to better deal with feedback. Effects are clean and good enough for indoor and outdoor gigs. Subgroups are great because you can pipe mics to a separate amp and a separate set of speakers if you wanted to. The built-in crossover is great and allows you to run your subwoofers without adding a separate crossover.
Ease of Use
Fairly simple, but if you never used pro-mixers and subgroups, the manual will be your friend - well written.
Quality
I have it installed in a rack and have been using it for over 3 years - Solid as a rock and it bounces all over my truck every week on the way to and from the gig.
Value
Nothing comes close to this price and features.
Manufacturer Support
never needed
The Wow Factor
Light, looks good and clean. Sliders are tight - really nice mixer

"The Mackie Hype"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Overall, a Mackie would be an option..IF..there would not be better options for roughly the same money.
Sound
The sound of this mixer, yes, it sounds, it sounds crystal clear, a bit too clear for my liking.I would prefer a somehow more natural, more realistic sound. A Behringer desk sounds crystal clear too, but I guess the Mackie is just a little bit better build than any Behringer. If you want a good sound, get a Allan & Heath, a Yamaha or a Soundcraft desk. Yes, Mackie mixer are hyped in a big way, but why ?
Features
Its crazy that you have to use sub mixes to get to the main-outs. No other brand offers this kind of madness.Other than that, this mixer has more or less the same features as any mixing desk,
Ease of Use
Well, if you don't mind that its not too easy to get a good sound via Mackies EQ's,if you donĀ“t mind that you have to use the sub mix faders to get to the L and R main outs, then I think this desk is fairly easy to use,... as any
Quality
I have heard that often on Mackie desks channels start to fail, could it be that Mackie and Behringer are about the same quality with the Mackie being just a fraction better, I think - Yes
Value
Value... for the same money you can get a Yamaha or Soundcraft desk, this I would call value.
Manufacturer Support
I do not know, but heard good about their support.
The Wow Factor
If I want a Mackie desk, Well, if I would have the choice between a Behringer and a Mackie, I probably would choose the Mackie. But if I could choose freely, I would not wan't either of them.

Mackie CFX12mkII Mixer Customer Review

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
It's a Mackie
Features
Needs more attention paid to monitors. You have to use an aux channel out to power monitors with ONLY gain. No eq. You need another mixer? Otherwise, cool.
Ease of Use
Decent
Value
Being able to manage a small club house and monitors is essential. I find the monitor support lacking, huge.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to deal with.
The Wow Factor
It's not a bad mixer. The effects are good for what you would expect. There is just no monitor support.
