I’ve been a giant fan of Billy Corgan’s evolving guitar tone since the 90’s. This unit encapsulates the last few years of his live rig and studio work, which it succeeds totally. This is not the Siamese Dream sound. You can get close to that, but it isn’t the point of the amp/pedal. You get the Laney sound (which is amazing) and can rock some Iommi riffs, and you get the Carstens Grace (an amp 99% of us will never even get to see). That’s an incredible package. It gets better, though. Add in reverb, a wonderful sounding boost, rock-solid construction, and some pretty incredible software to help tweak the tone further. This is the sort of fever-dream stuff I would have killed for when I was in college and couldn’t play guitar in my dorm because of the volume. The Supergrace is probably one of the best designed pieces of gear in the last few years. It sounds great and you can play it with a cab, through your computer, or with headphones. Amazing stuff. Really surprised something this amazing actually exists. The only thing that would be better is a 30-watt tube head with all this built in.
