This is a great sounding combo, period. Both channels are very well voiced and articulate. It's easy to achieve chime on the clean channel with anything you put into it, and flipping over to the dirty side yields a very fat and harmonically rich Marshall-like grind. I've put two Strats, a Tele and a Les Paul in front of this, straight in and with pedals - and it delivered beautifully every time. The FX loop is also very nice, especially being a parallel loop, and probably the only gripe I have is that there is no level control for it. That aside, class A super tubey tone, great clean and drive channel, FX loop, and great interaction with pedals make this beast very hard to compete with in it's price range. HIGHLY recommend this to anyone shopping in this price range.

Got my amp and immediately was happy with my purchase. It has great tone for both clean and gain settings. Had no problems trying to find usable tone. I actually struggled to find a tone that wasnt usable. It is very versatile. It makes a good pedal platform, bell like chimey cleans, nice blues grit up to nice rock gain. It maybe a bit lacking on gain if you are doing modern metal, but that is about it. The kickstand is a great feature and directs the sound right at your ears so self monitoring is a breeze. My only complaint is the volume. It is very loud even at the lowest settings. For band practice it's great because it is plenty loud enough to get over drums and would definitely recommend for gigs, but at home if volume is a concern, it might be a bit much. That pronounced UK mid forward tone is gorgeous. The on board digital reverb works great and might be one of the better digital reverts that i have heard. Laney definitely took a lot of time designing this amp because not only does it sound amazing, it looks great too. The blue with the tweed looks incredible. They even paid attention to the cover. It's a nice robust fabric unlike thier competitors that use nylon. My friends envy how great the amp is. 2 thumbs up

This is a solid amplifier , i was so impressed with the laney ironheart 6 watt , the next step was getting a laney lionheart. A very versatile amp. Wether its blues , or classic metal, even country. It looks classy , and sounds great on clean or overdrive. I highly recommend this amp for practice. It has all you need.
