Watched a few videos on YouTube, then decided to give this a try and I’m glad I did. I can honestly say I’ll pick the Catalyst over the Katana having owned them both now. This amp just sounds good, it’s easy to get good tones out of it with little effort. The presets sound good, the effects sound good, the amp models all sound unique, it’s lightweight, can get pretty loud, and I only paid like $250. If you want a Katana alternative, this is it! I like the katana, but didn’t love it. This amp I do love and will be my main practice amp. Some things I wish they would have added:- Bluetooth - Built-in looperITS GOT THA TOAN BORTHER ,, WE CAN ZERO TREE FIVE ALL DAY TILL HOUR FINGERS BLEEDZ

I've had 3 Boss Katanas,still own / play 1 of them. The Line 6 Catalyst beats the Katana in every possible metric. The single coils sounds? Some of the best ever. Not as easy to navigate as the Boss, it takes some time and some tutorials - but it's worth the effort. The built in Helix effects are what set this apart.
