The Catalyst CX 100 amp is the best 100 watt combo that I have used so far. I have tried the Boss Katana, Peavey Vypyr, Vox VT, Marshall FX and Fender modeling amps. The Catalyst CX 100 clear tones are excellent. The crunch tones really stand out on this amp, great for any style or rock. The high gain tones are amazing for any kind of metal, it would be great for 7 or 8 string guitars. The lows on this setting are crazy!!! The boutique setting are great for blues and the archetype mode is awesome for rich jazz tones. The effects on this amp blow away any other effects on other amps or stomp boxes. The controls are very easy to use for anyone. The different watt settings are great to use from bedroom 1/2 watt to full blast 100 watts. You can also get more control of the amp by connecting to a computer or phone app. In my opinion the sound quality of this amp is better than any other amp for the price.
