"Great amp 200watts of tone"

I've owned tube amps, modeling amps from peavey x2, vox, fender tone master twin reverb 200, Marshall and more. My practice amp died. I can probably fix it, or have it fixed... but decided to buy this when I saw the sale. The amp has a great full sound even dialed down to 0.5watts. That's a great setting for playing in the house. Cleans are pristine and the tone is fantastic. My gf even noted how great it sounded. There's some great features and you can get some really great sounds out of this. Like other modeling amps I've used, there's some hidden features. I had to watch a YouTube video to learn how to turn off noise reduction. Also, like other modeling amps... it's easy to mess up sounds by adding too much. A little goes a long way with this amp. A bit too much boost or gain and it can sound overly digital... something I've noticed on other line 6 amps as well, and a helix I had. My best advice is go manual, and adjust a little at a time to find the sweetspots. And there are a lot of sweet spots. Pros... sound. And let's be honest... that's the most important thing to look for in an amp. If you have a little patience you can find some really great tones with this amp. Price for what you get is amazing at the sale price, and I'd still say there's a lot of bang for the buck, if it had been $200 more. Cons... there's a lot. 1. No usb cable included. I mean, there's all this stuff about editing the settings through software on computer/tablet/phone... but no cable. That makes no sense. 2. It's very easy to get muddy or overly digital sounds by slightly pushing gain or boost too high. 3. Complicated set up, especially considering not all features are available without USB. Additionally, hidden features required me to watch YouTube videos for instruction (while the features are mentioned in the manual, how to turn them on and off from the amp was not).4. Reverb can always be turned on and off, and reverbs sound good. But... you can only have one other effect running. So you can't have delay and say chorus. Maybe you can with the USB and software... but I don't know... because no USB included. Final thoughts...Instead of saying "you bought ANOTHER amp"... my gf was impressed by the sound. That speaks volumes. It does sound very very good. And that is the point of an amp. I'd 100 percent recommend this amp to anyone. I love that i can turn it down to half a watt. I love the 2x12 speakers. I easily found some great settings very quickly. I find heavy built in distortion to sound too digital when gain is all the way up... but, I have pedals, so that's fine. No USB is honestly ridiculous for this amp, but I probably have one somewhere. Looks like a straight forward, old school amp, but has lots built in. It comes with a nice cheat sheet to get you around... but since so much is hidden (no labels indicating what effect your on, or dialing to), I feel that sheet will be on the amp for a long time. It's the first inexpensive digital modeling amp I've owned that I can see keeping for a long time. I'm replacing 2 amps with this one, and couldn't be happier. While I brought up a number of cons, I'm leaving this amp 5 stars. The tone for the price, the features for the price, the overall sound and presence in the room... for the cost, I'm very happy. There's amps that offer a lot more features or at least easily accessible wealth of features... but they can be confusing to use, and have many features that just don't sound great, or that I just don't use. This amp definitely meets my needs. Having said that, I feel I'm probably within the target audience for this amp. I like solid state practice amps. I like simple. And I enjoy a few extra features to play with. And I like the sound. zZounds shipped super fast and it arrived in perfect condition.

I bought this instead of the Fender Champion 100 2x12. I did so mainly due to the additional 100 watts, while still having the ability to run it in 100 watt mode thanks to the volume attenuator.Sounds great! You can definitely tell the difference between the 15, 100 and 200 watt modes. I use this amp on its own as well as with my Boss GX-100 multi fx board.I am fully pleased with this purchase, with one exception...I noticed the other day, maybe a month or so after setting it in place, that the trim on top of the amp was fully detached from the box of the amp. It was fully attached initially. Once I unboxed it and checked for a firmware update, it has not been moved. The only thing I can think of is that the room is in is a consistent 65 or so degrees with around 40 % humidity. I wonder if the environment that it sits in was partially to blame, thus no warranty or return was looked into. Overall, however, I have been happy with this purchase.
