It's a pro unit with that sound!I also own the warm audio version. The Lin76 is in the same league.

Setting it up gain structure to and through it took me a little time. I tried it out with some vocals and it was nice. Vocal was clean with some low end weight to it. When I put it in the rack below my pre I heard a slight buzz when no sound was passing through it.So, I thew a ferrite bead on the power supply coming into the compressor and walla ' the buzz was no more. I hope to get some miles on it and eventually send it into Revive Audio for the mod.

This is the 7th 1176 clone that I own. I own both the black and blue stripe Warm audio versions and multiple Klark Teknik versions- modded and stock. The Lindell Lin76 is by far the worst 1176 clone that I own. It uses an external transformer power supply that’s the size of a baseball, and has no grounding pin. This wouldn’t bother me so much if the unit wasn’t so noisy. The original 1176 and it’s respective clones are not known to be the quietest compressors, but this one is so noisy at such low compression levels that it’s borderline unusable. It’s a shame because the unit itself is a beautiful looking 1176 clone and the stepped controls feel nice.

Having had extensive experience with original 1176's, in all versions, I am extremely satisfied with this iteration. Lindell did a great job of condensing all the versions best features into one unit. I absolutely love this compressor! It has made a huge difference in my recordings.

Love the sound on this 76. It takes 10 seconds to dial in sound versus me using plugins. The sound is so much more distinctive. After weeks of research. I'm glad I chose Lindells over Warm Audio 76. I was looking for a more warm and round feel.

"Don't let yourself get scammed by Lindell Audio."
Terrible. When the compressor arrived, it had a very loud noise, around -40dB. I contacted support, and following their own instructions, they told me to use a higher voltage power supply. After changing it, the compressor literally exploded after three hours.I reached out to them again about what happened, and I've been waiting for a response for three months now. They no longer reply to my messages. In conclusion, I ended up buying the most expensive rack cover in the world. Be very careful with this company—they are not serious at all.

The power supply broke at the barrel connector. Not had any luck getting that resolved by the manufacturer or zZounds. Ground loop hum when it is in use making it totally useless on a mix.
