Not being satisfied with the SM57 the whole world loves to record snare drum with I’ve tried a lot of different mics through my Joemeek VC6Q preamp/compressor some costing 4 times what this one does. THIS IS THE ONE. Crisp and clear with a fat bottom end that pops whatever you put it on through the mix. Great for acoustic guitar too. Is it a U87? No not for a hundred bucks but it performs very well on vocals. A welcome addition to any mic closet and a great first mic for novices. The white looks fabulous! You won’t regret grabbing this one.

Musical Background:

Keyboardist, Drummer, Vocalist, Engineer, Producer over 50 years in music.
