I've been playing guitar for about 45yrs. so I've seen a guitar strap or two in my day. I recently went back to playing Les Pauls because the 25.5 in. scale of Stratocaster necks was starting to play hell with my arthritis. The trade off was adding about three more pounds of weight on my shoulder from the Les Paul. (It doesn't seem like much until you jam for two or three hours.) I was starting to feel the fatigue from the extra weight so a new strap seemed in order. After a bit of shopping around, I decided to go with the Levy's strap. I'm so glad I did!!! These things ain't no joke!!! Quality and craftsmanship are IMMEDIATELY noticable. If you want your guitar to hang like Page or Slash I would advise getting the extra long size. I'm 5'8" and fully extended, the regular strap allows my guitar to hang with the bridge pup just about waist high. As far as comfort, I don't know if it could get any better in a standard guitar strap design. If you want a strap that'll last, here it is!!! Yeah, there a little pricey. But, so are Les Pauls...

A bass player turned me on to these. I ordered one for him, and one for myself.Then we ordered a whole rack, and became a Levy's dealer.Most heavy guitars pull a single layer strap over your shoulder so it folds, the edges become wings, and the centre part puts all the weight on your shoulder bone. This strap's leather is thick and hard enough not to fold, so the weight spreads out over the full 3". Now the edge of the strap would be cutting into your shoulder, except there is a layer of foam, then soft garment leather that folds over the foam at the edges. So, hard leather for the weight, soft leather for comfort. Worth every penny.
