First off, I love Lauten. I'm a commercial studio owner, and I rely on their microphones day in and day out. This newest release is no exception. If you want your kick to sound it's best in the studio or even live, get this microphone. It can stand on it's own and be a massive punchy kick or can be paired with an outside kick mic to sculpt the sound in every way imaginable. I combine the Kick Mic with the Lauten Clarion FC-357 on the outside, and it's the best kick drum sound I've ever had. I own all the holy grail classic mics, yet Lauten does it better. I love the mics, and I love the company even more. Brian and Trent have treated me like a king over the years, and I'm going to stay a loyal Lauten user until my end of days. Do yourself a favor and get this mic.
