Kurzweil SP4-7 76-Key Stage Piano
The Kurzweil SP4-7 fits the smallest possible footprint for a 76-key stage piano, with 128 sounds from the hit PC3 sound set and easy layer/split functions.

I was determined to stay around $1K and have something relatively lightweight. I got both with this keyboard, and the packaged sounds are acceptable. I can truly say now after about 6 months that I am seriously missing the extra octave. I am also disillusioned with the keyboard feel. I will probably sell this and get something weighted/semi-weighted. The keyboard feel on this is just to cheap and flimsy.

I've never owned a Kurzweil before. The piano was broken right out of the box, cutting in and out, a LOUD!! hum, panel lights all going out sometimes, and the power connection was noisy if you touched it while volume was turned up at all. Another crappy cheep product from a 3rd world assembly plant I guess. I am waiting for a replacement. We'll see if it's better. But I have already lost confidence in the instrument's reliability. Might have to return to Yamaha.
