Was very impressed with the quality of this guitar out-of-the-box! The only setup I had to do was lower the action on the tremolo bridge. I have not changed the strings yet I am playing the ones that came with it and they are in good shape. I would recommend putting a good set of strings on any guitar when bought new as there is no telling how long they have been on there and the quality of the strings seem to be very low of course which is standard industry practice. The guitar plays so well and is so comfortable and solid no fretwork was necessary whatsoever the action is as low as you could possibly get without getting any kind of interference when you play clean and all notes are very recognizably clean and the report is good! I have not seen any guitar or played one like this ever before. The neck has a classical feel to it for it is wide but yet very comfortable for a small hand. I'm thinking of buying another one to have them both because they are so amazingly good I can use the second as a backup and eventually change out the pickups for different sounds from each guitar. The dive bombing action is great and does stay in tune which amazed me considering it is a Kramer stamped Floyd rose brand tremelo not the 1000 Floyd rose standard. I can honestly say this is my favorite guitar I have ever experience so far up to par with the Gibson Les Paul in the feel and quality in my honest opinion. I did not expect to get this at this price point I suggest grab me one or two of these before they're not available anymore! Guitarist Singer/Songwriter 53 years

This is my second one. A little bit different than my other one which is about 6 years old. My other one has a gloss neck. The new model has a satin. I prefer gloss because that is what I a used to. But they are both great guitars! Came setup decent! Big E is a tad bit high, but I will setup the action myself when I feel like it. The fretboard is a bit wider than the older model I have. Not bad but it is different. But really this is a Great Guitar for the money. I paid $303 for the older one about 6 years ago. But even today the guitar is under $400. And it is a Professional grade Guitar! I highly recommend buying one. Manufacturer support I will give it 5 stars to keep the rating up. I think they should make that part of the review optional.
Sound
Great Fret work! No sharp edges! The sound is similar to the 80`s Dirty Fingers Humbuckers. The guitar is thinner than a Gibson Les Paul. But very well built. Actually it plays better than most of the Les Puls I have owned. When I purchased my first Kramef Assault I was Amazed! The only down side would be the cheaper Floyd Rose. But it appears it coud be upgraded. The Guitar build quality would definitely merit doing so. This is a heck of a guitar for the price!

Took a while to set up, had 3 high frets but once I got it set up (.75 mm at the 12th fret is awesome. I love it, drop D and heavy metal all the way baby

This guitar packs a punch. Love the neck and it's flat, big, and a chunch to gain ahold of....I love it!! This came setup out of the box, tuned, ready to rock. Frets and intonation and everything about this guitar is better than man $900 evh wolfgang I recently bought. Wolfgang neck is too small for my hands I'm selling it and buying another 220 assault!
