So I bought these speakers to use with my SP 404 mk2 when I take it out and play at work on my lunch break, etc. They sound amazing and work very well. I bought the 4inch version, but I kind of wish I'd bought the 3inchers for a smaller footprint. Not that thee are THAT big, but I would rather have a smaller speaker for my space concerns. That might not be an issue for you, so think about it before purchasing.As another reviewer mentioned, the speakers do turn off or go into standby mode if not used for a bit, but you just flip the switch on the back to turn them off and back on again and you're golden after a few seconds. They are well made speakers and the that come with them are great. You can angle them up towards your ear with no problem. I bought a longer figure 8 power cord, which these use, and it gives me more distance for plugging them in. I'm going to buy a portable power unit so I can take my SP with ripcord and powerbank, with these speakers to the park and places like that. When I go into the office its no problem because I can dip into an empty conference room and there's plenty of power outlets in there.All in all I love these speakers. They have TRS balanced inputs which is great at this price point. It also comes with a carrying case, which is amazing, and a little microphone should you want to use it. I was thinking I could use my SP 404 mk2 in DJ mode and have a mic to be able to talk to my "audience" with if I wanted to. I definitely recommend this speaker set for anyone who wants a smaller, portable speaker with all the accessories you need to be on the go with them! I got these on sale at a good price. They sound great, not very loud. They also go into standby mode which for me is annoying because it takes about 15 seconds for them to wake up. I really wish I knew this ahead of time, more specifically that it can't be disabled. Sometimes they will stay awake even when my computer is in sleep mode. I just don't understand it, and there is no way to turn off the standby function. If that doesn't bother you then these are a great choice, the sound quality is amazing.
