An interesting synth. There are many synths with broader capabilities or more impressive specs, but all synths have limitations inherent to their design. Personally, I was looking for a "performance synth", that offered relative immediacy in sound adjustment. . The Neo fills that void for me.
Sound
The quality of sound is extremely subjective, but I think the Neo has a nice, clear tone. It integrates well with my other synths.
Features
The Neo sports a Vocoder, which is well-made and easily attached and detached. I seldom employ it, but some may consider it a bonus.
Ease of Use
There is a fairly comprehensive stock of on board presets, which you can toggle between. Ideally, I would have preferred a numeric keypad for quicker selection. Although it can be menu-divey in some aspects, there are enough physical controls to allow for good tweaking ergonomics.
Quality
The Neo seems fairly sturdy, albeit lightweight. I question it's roadworthiness and would suggest you confine it to studio use, however. If you're careful, I think it could be useful in live playing, as it's pretty expressive. My primary issue is the keybed. It has a light, springy action. While this allows for fast riffs, I prefer a stiffer tension. Overall, I consider the keybed to be it's weakest point.
Value
At a thousand dollars, I consider this synth overpriced. If you catch it on sale, it's worth considering. For a grand, I'd expect a more robust build and a much better keybed.
The Wow Factor
Despite a somewhat plasticky build and less-than-stellar keybed, I enjoy playing the Neo, as I love the character of the sound. Also, the multiple oscillators, filters, effects offer considerable sound-crafting capabilities.
