"The best comp pedal and I’ve tried many"

I have tried many comps, including ones much more expensive than this, and always go back to it. It has a musical quality and sweetens your tone like nothing else. I’ve tried pedals with more features and parameters and was just lacking any semblance of that “when I turn it on, I sound better” feeling. This includes Wampler, JHS, Jackson Audio, MXR, and Keeley’s own Comp Mini. I go for a more subtle setting just to add sustain and volume and no pedal does it better than this one. I think the key to this pedal is the ingenious “SC/HB” release switch. Some of these parameters, especially with a compressor that you might not be able to tell is doing anything unless it’s set to max squish, are a little hard hard to dial in if you’re not experienced or a pro. The Keeley Compressor Plus does a great job of making it “idiot proof” and the release button works so well when I switch guitars, better than if I tried to adjust it myself. The Aria is also a great value as well if you like Tube Screamer style overdrives - just know that some of the controls are a little more squished together and the all-important release switch is on the side. Everytime I try something different I go back to this pedal and it will stay on my board forever.
