Ive had other compressors. Most were noisy and less effective, less musical. This compressor is not noisy and sounds great. There is a noticeable difference with it on/off. 4 knobs, doesn't take too long to figure out what they do, but if your a simpleton Keeley also offers the 2 knob. I love the squished sound on my clean channel. The attack knob works wonders on anything overdriven. My tone was pretty sick already, (PWE EH3 into a Blackstar Celestion loaded 4x12, and a couple Custom Kiesels), and its even nastier now. Its solidly built and should last a lifetime. You could spend less but you will get less. If your on the fence, just pull the trigger. Not much too much to lose as Zzounds has an excellent return policy. But you wont return it, it enhances your tone too much. Great product.
