"Some quiet noise when idle, other than that absolutely gorgeous speakers"

Sound
Big sound from a very compact and lightweight enclosure, considering 15" driver. Not so much different compared with classic EON series that were produced in the USA (these babies came from China, of course). Bass is deep and full, and soft, as we are used to expect from JBL if i may say, but well defined, also on high levels. Mids absolutely gorgeous, clear and warm, highs maybe a little bit attenuated but clear and nice sounding. Great sound is definitely what these boxes deliver. At first I was a little bit dissapointed when I heard some "cooking" noise when speakers were powered-up, probably SLB of a D-class amp is twisting or something, but I forgot that issue as soon as I pushed the signal to them, no big deal at all.
Features
Not much to do with it, just plug&play, EQ switch to change the mode, you just push the power up switch, plug in your cable and voila! Nothing else needed.Talking about the weight of the boxes, in my opinion it is way the lightest high quality decibel in the market, period.
Ease of Use
Couldn't be easier. You just plug'n'play.
Quality
Similar sound quality as always from JBL, great bang for buck. Will see how this plastic will handle scratches, but it is not what music is all about, is it? Looks good, feels good. I killed my highest overall & quality rating only because of the idle noise I mentioned above, but I believe that I overreacted with this.
Value
Compared to all other competitors that i tried recently, this is a dream come true. EV ZLX-15P is the biggest disappointment, very low SPL and easy braking, dirty sound even on moderate levels, despite heavy processing, LCD display and everything else. A pair of my babies would blow away 3 pairs of these EVs for sure. And they rate them 1000W! Also, I tried dB Opera Black Line 15", which sounds good on low levels, maybe a little bit harsh, but well defined, but breaks easily on moderate levels, and are overpriced in my country (almost 30% more expensive than EON315, but 70% less sound and volume). After that I went for an FBT active solutions, but soon found out that although they are perfect for vocals they lack this deep and soft low end of JBL, and are absolutely not suited for music & DJ apps. Also, very high-priced. One more big dissapointment was the Cerwin Vega P1500X which sounded very distorted starting from moderate levels up. When I finally tested EONs it was like heaven, big sound, high volume with absolutely no distortion. And in Serbia they cost exactly the same as ELX-15P, 550 EUR a piece, but n times more sound. This is where the value of these babies is.
Manufacturer Support
Nothing much to say for the moment. I used JBLs before, no need to contact anybody because no problems. But there is a dealer and service support in my country, which is not common to other brands.
The Wow Factor
This is exactly what I said after trying many other alternatives, WOW!

"Superior quality looks and sound, ultra-light weight, reasonable price."

This will do fine. I don't expect to have to supply a P.A. for a large venue.
Sound
Sounds pure, clean and loud. I bought it for electronic drums, but it sounds great with recorded music too. Not overly bassy like a sub-woofered system, and a good flat full-rounded clear sound without excess noisy middles. Just right for all genres. Clean top and good full clean bass. Very hi-fi in character.
Features
All in one, lightweight, can be an angled monitor or a P.A.
Ease of Use
Cannot find the alleged MIC/LINE switch, only a graphic of one, but I'm probably just stupid.
Quality
Looks and feels high quality, despite it's ultra-light weight. But I would not risk handling it carelessly on purpose.
Value
Costs a little bit more than some less highly respected alternatives. From what I hear other drummers saying it's the best one to choose.
Manufacturer Support
It's new and no JBL support has been needed, except I just emailed JBL to ask about the switch I cannot see. But this is where I have to mention Zzounds. I bought a "warehouse resealed" one and it came with the box all smashed and inside one of the JBL's side handles was shattered and the pieces were inside the box. Zzounds emailed me a return label and as soon as it was picked up by UPS, they shipped me a brand new unit at no extra charge. The new one, I should add, featured an outer carton around the inner retail box, and arrived in perfect condition. So Zzounds got the lower price for a resealed unit, gave me free shipping twice plus paid for return shipping, and I have a new one, just a week after the damaged one arrived. This is why I always look at Zzounds first for any musical equipment. They know how to do business the right way.
The Wow Factor

"Exceed my expectations"

I purchased 2 JBL EON 315's. They were delivered with one of the handles broken. A quick call to JBL, and 2 new handles were in route (1 to fix the broken one, and 1 spare at JBL's suggestion). Excellent prooduct. I intended to buy a sub to pair with them to play music at High School football games, no need. The deep base astonished me. Great buying experience, great product.

Musical Background:

First purchase of PA equipment. Used older model JBL's in the past.

Musical Style:

"Great Speakers, Great Quality, Great Price."

I expect to be satisfied until I decide to upgrade.
Sound
I've had these for awhile but finally at the chance to test them out at a gig this past weekend. They passed with flying colors. Obviously they're not QSC quality, but the overall sound is can best be described as balanced–there's enough low end to add a nice "warmth" to the sound, and mid/hi's are wonderful. I had these cranked not even halfway up for an event with about 200 people...not one ever complained that is wasn't loud enough. You may find review across the 'net that profess a bit of a hate on these speakers. Sadly, these owners have no clue what they're doing or talking about. I've been in this game for about 12 years so trust me, they sound great.
Features
Pretty straightforward here: input/output, 3 EQ settings, mic/line selector.
Ease of Use
If you don't know how to use speakers, you need to find a new career/hobby.
Quality
Nice and lightweight, which makes carrying them to and from a venue a snap. The casing can show scratches quite easily, but I invested in some JBL "sleeves" to protect my investment. Soundwise, I test drove these babies to about 75% on the volume dial–no distorted playback, hissing, etc.
Value
Don't waste your time with Mackie, Gemini, etc. When you go to a club or concert, what do you see? JBL. These speakers will do just fine until I decide to splurge on a pair of QSC's.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to deal with them, however, the warranty is quite thorough and covers all the speaker components.
The Wow Factor
If you're a DJ, these speakers will do the trick. Great audio response/clarity.
