This is not my main guitar, but its a keeper Ill play it until it cant be played, and Im sure that will be a long long time. As long as its not stored in the back seat or on the front porch it should last for as long as I want it to.
Sound
Sounds good for what it is, Jay Turser makes a great product for this price range. I bought it to modify it, but with the other projects and the fact that this sounds great as is, Ill probably keep it like this for a while.
Features
One pickup, one volume.
Ease of Use
Needed a decient setup, just like every other guitar Ive ever purchased. Nothing major, corrected the bridge position and adjusted the action. I have since put my preference of strings on it and it plays great.
Quality
Its built well, there are some finish flaws on the binding in the f hole and around the neck. But I did buy it at a resonable discount because of this. Jay Turser makes quality instruments, Ive had there SG style for about five years and havent had any issues other than the gold finish wearing of rather quickly on the metal pieces. Thats why I was confident in purchasing this buy way of internet.
Value
Im happy with what I got for what I paid. Compared to other brands of similar style the JT-143 came with gold hardware, block inlays, and a nice natural woodgraine finish.
Manufacturer Support
Never needed it.
The Wow Factor
I am addicted to guitar, I even want the ugly ones. This is not a fair question.
