This is a serious player. I read other reviews knocking the single coil pick up but guessing they are Metal Heads and aren't used to single coils. I actually really like them. I own American Strats and loads of Gibson's, Epiphones and Squire's. This beats them all. If someone stamped USA on it people would pay $2500 as good as it feels and sounds. Nuff said

"Versatile tone machine"

The neck is so smooth and frets so nice, like butter. Came with action and standard tuning, but needed intonation. The bar doesn't loosen up bad like others. Each of the 5 settings is a unique tone, with a lot of clean to dirty with the volume and nice effective tone control. Looks nice. All the pickups are smooth and very nicely toned. Of course it is a comfortable working musician's guitar, too.

I bought this guitar after a long search for what amounts to a "super strat". I am a strat player, but wanted something with an attitude. This Jackson is the ticket. The neck is very comfortable, not a strat neck and it takes a little getting used to, but it frets like butter. The Floyd is decent for a "special", but I am sure I'll swap out the humbucker and probably the neck pickup. The single coils on this thing are noiseless and very weak. I really like the looks of this thing and the tone is very nice, but better once i slip the EVH n the bridge!

Sounds good but had to install an extra spring to keep it in tune. Other than that no issues feels and sounds great.
