"nice and sexy"
i will play until i feel like i want a new guitar, but not atm. maybe after a few years
Sound
yea i like the sound, it gives u a crunchy tone and the other kinda like a jazzy tone, i really like it! But im planning (near future) to change them to EMG 81 (just the rear pickup, or bridge) but right now, it satisfies me, i have a temporary yamaha amp (i use it cuz i travel alot, wont get a biggie until my family settles down), i run it thru my digitech alternate effects model RP90, set some kickass tone , i love it. But the p/up kinda hums alil bit but, who cares?:D
Features
Floyd rose tremolo, easy to do divebombs, harmonics etc. i had to configure the tremolo bars springs tho, it wasnt floating. Its a pain in the ass trying to restring, i almost threw the guitar lol
Ease of Use
slender neck and slim, i have a fender and its more easier to shred on this jackson, the fender had a fat neck. even tho i dont prefer jumbo frets, its still easier to shred
Quality
quality is the best! i havent had any problems since i bought it (like the loose vol knob)
Value
it was worth it, a lil bit expensive for my currency (not livin in the US), itw as my first guitar, really worth it (fender was my bros)
Manufacturer Support
didnt need support, why need one?:P

"Needs fixin'"
I was satisfied, I would give it a 9.5 after re-soldering and adding the EMG.
Sound
Had an above average sound when I bought it, but switched out the rear pickup for an EMG 81, now I have the tone I want.
Features
Floyd is good as always, although it is licensed. Probably the best value you'll find.
Ease of Use
Restringing/tuning the floyd is a pain, adding the EMG was as hard as normal I guess. Very playable, especially after upgrading from a guitar with medium frets.
Quality
Some wires have broken etc. Just some soldering to fix it, although it is a pain. My soldering is much better and will not break. Will last a while.
Value
A good value for sure.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't needed any, but fender is always a pain to deal with.
The Wow Factor
It's hot.

"I would buy it. Oh, wait. I did."
I'll give it a 9 because of the tuner knob and the p/ups.
Sound
A difinite fine sound, one pickup offers a very crunchy, fatter tone that is suitable for lead and the other offers a more rythmic tone. Works well on my cheap Peavey amp, and offers excellent sound when hooked up with an effects pedal. I was expecting something heavier, but they are good overall.
Features
The tremelo is great, you dont have to understand it to make it work. I have already broken a string on it while tuning (that was my tuner's fault, not the guitar) and the string was easy to replace even with the tremelo bridge.
Ease of Use
The tremelo is easy to figure out, the neck plays fast and I found it is easier to pick speedy than it was on my old guitar. Very easy to do harmonics, squeals, divebombs etc.
Quality
I'll give it an 8 simply because the volume knob had a tightener screw on it, and the screw was not tightened and I had to do it myself. Other than that the guitar is good quality.
Value
I would have paid $100 more for this guitar.
Manufacturer Support
I'll give it a 10 because they made such a good product that I dont have to get support.
The Wow Factor
I got it in transparent blue and it is sexy at least.

"You HAVE to get this!"

This will be mine for a very long time and I would definitely buy this model again. The hardest part was finding a case for it.Finally I just went for the Jackson RR/KKV/Kelly HSC.
Sound
The stock pups are cool, but I'll most likely replace the bridge with a Duncan Invader. The neck pup sounds sweet, as it emulates the jazz pickup; so leads sound great on it. The bridge pup IS pretty cool and snatches pinch harmonics easily...I'm certainly in no hurry to swap it. I run it straight into either a Fender Frontman 15G, or my Marshall AVT; either way it sounds great. I haven't used any pedals yet; it sounds great dirty or clean.
Features
The allen wrenches were a definite bonus. The padded gig bag was cool too, but I've ordered a Jackson Rhoads case; I just can't trust this guitar to a softcase. Having one knob is kinda cool; I rarely (if ever) used a tone knob anyway. Maybe a couple extra trem springs would be nice...but you can get those pretty cheap.
Ease of Use
Easy playability with a very fast neck. Bending strings were easy and the double locking trem held steady even when making 'spaghetti' strings. My only gripe is the location of the input jack; I'll have to get a cable with an angle jack so I don't break anything.
Quality
I bought this model because it was made in Japan. If I can't get an American guitar, I get Japanese. I have an MIJ '93 Dinky Pro that just screams, so I knew this one would too. I only worry about breaking the top fin; I think the lightness of the guitar lends to it's fragile feeling. I'll just have to be careful.
Value
Awesome deal. Just over a year ago, these were the same price as the RR3 (of course the RR3 comes with a case and real Duncans). Even so, this is what I wanted and I'm very impressed.
Manufacturer Support
Ten...only because it came straight from the box perfect; the only thing I had to do was tighten the locking nuts. It was even in tune.
The Wow Factor
Very sexy guitar. The Rhoads body IS rock and metal. I have several other guitars, but HAD to finally get the Rhoads.

"A real randy rhoads!!! Metal to the nations!!!"
what more can i say?
Sound
I played an old rr3 with these pickups, and the sound is awsome. they have such an attack on demand... sound great clean... what more can you ask for?
Features
It's a jackson x series and it has the super neck that these kind of jacksons have. one of the most desired in the entire guitar industries.
Ease of Use
when playing it through heavy distortion, the guitar blows the house.just play the E major string and watch the full-on assault! i rated it 9, cause when sitting down, it slips from your lap. you should rest the v form on your right leg an then play.
Quality
Awsome!
Manufacturer Support
i rated it 5(middle term) cause i don't own the guitar.
The Wow Factor
It's a randy rhoads!!! An awsome guitar that looks even better played and seen live, not in pictures.
