This unit is a great product positioned price-wise between the 20 watt all-in-one units and the individually purchased 100-120 watt powered speaker pair, cables and speaker stand set. The system is resonably compact and easy to transport. The unit sounds great and has enough power for small dances (100-150 people). It comes complete with all necessary cables and is easy to setup. The three input mixer has both individual input as well as a master volume adjustment. This is a great starter unit or backup unit for a more sophisticated rig (my situation). The component physical quality is good but not top-of-the-line, but neither is the price. The most obvious weakness is the poorly designed plastic sleeves that connect the speakers to the stands. While the plastic looks thick enough to last, the fit is not tight and there is no way to secure the sleeve to the stand so the speaker tends to rotate freely if a cable is pulled. I will probably have to gerry-rig a set screw. All-in-all a great purchase!

My recent purchase of this portable sound system is the best bang for the buck in recent memory. Not only will it work well for the reason I bought it, having it set up in my daughters room has improved her practicing quality beyond what I could imagine. Now she doesn't just practice her songs that she's working on, she performs them in her room. My ONLY complaint is the piece that mounts the speakers to the stands is plastic and with the likely hood of a speaker getting knocked over at some point, I don't see this plastic piece surviving. I'd happily paid $5-10 more and gotten a more significant piece to attache the speakers to the stands.
