A simple and decent quality audio interface. Good for direct in recording and compatible with Microphones. Has phantom power if needed and works very well with any IOS DAW.
Sound
The sound quality of the recordings was exceptional when recording with a microphone or Direct in. Just run this with your favorite amp sim app and your good to go. However you want to record, this thing can handle it and your recordings will sound amazing.
Features
The gain control knob helps avoid clipping and adds a little boost when needed. There is an indicator light that changes color when the signal is clipping or distorting (Red/orange when too loud and Green when level), this was very helpful when recording with an SM57 mic-ed up to a guitar amp.
Ease of Use
Legitimately plug and play. Just plug in the standard Ipod cable or Lightning adapter to your IOS device and it is immediately recognized. I used this with Garageband and BIAS and had zero compatibility issues. I ran this on an Ipad 2 (which is a little dated at this point) and it was awesome.
Quality
At first glance it looked like it may be cheap and plastic feeling but it actually holds up well and is surprisingly strong. The gain knob could be a little bigger and easier to turn but the stiffness does have an advantage as it doesn't move if you bump it or anything like that.
Value
Worth every penny. It is closely priced and comparable to some other IOS interfaces but this is also compatible with a PC or Mac, and has MIDI functionality so overall, way better deal than comparable products.
Manufacturer Support
I did not have to contact them at this point.
The Wow Factor
Afterall, it is an audio interface and how you use it with your own instruments is really where the appeal comes into play.
