long time......great great great for gigging.....has a clean sound...
Sound
The classic, clean toned, Ibanez sound. Great for Jazz Bassists, and sounds nice, clean, and distinct when in the middle of a Slap & Pop solo. Also provides a nice sound for classic rock. Ibanez did a great job on this amp.
Features
No effects....but a nice sound, not too heavy, and great for gigging.
Quality
Made well.....that is all i can say.
Value
Yes. Ibanez did a job well done.
The Wow Factor
its an ibanez...........the most trusted brand a bass player could ask for.........good quality, nice price.

I expect it to last forever, however I'm in need of some extra power and will start looking for something more biffed up pretty soon.
This little box could benefit from some extra 15 watts.
Even though, it's excellent for those rehearsals at the church, but a bit cumbersome to carry aroung, so I use a luggage cart to haul it around: a solution that's been working very good.
It's great for small gigs at small places, of course, but once you go to somewhere more spatious, you will need more power.. specially you are gigging rock music.
No complaints on the jazz section ! It lives to it !
Sound
Rather good sound quality and power for its size, however, (it might be my bass) sometimes I'm under the impression I want a more cleaner sound, but then, just adjusting the bass controls get me there, so, it does what is supposed to do.
Features
The switch to kick the gain is an excellent addition. You can play active and passive models by using the switch... or not. Will work well, however, when using a passive bass, the gain needs to be kicked up, so the switch comes into play.
The EQ is great. I wasn't expecting a "presence" control, but I'm pleased it has one.
It was interesting to know it has an AUX input where you can plug any type of high impedance device... CD players, FM stereos, iPods and the like... used only once though... don't really need it.
Interesting enough, the conection to the speaker goes through a cable on the back so you can actually use it to drive a different cabinet.
I have not used the send/return jacks though... I like a clean bass sound.
Ease of Use
What can I say ? You start playing with it right out-of-the-box. There is nothing to fuss about that you wouldn't know.
Quality
Excellent. Have had it for 2 years and it performs top class every time.
An elephant could step on the cabinet and it wouldn't break :-)
Panel is nice, controls act smoothly, no scratching pots, etc.
Value
The price is good, but for this money I wouldn't mind have some 15 extra watts.
Manufacturer Support
Support: haven't had the need to call... what for ?
Like with any electonics, if it lasts after 2 to 3 months, then it's likely that will last forever :-)
The Wow Factor
The blue ligh looks cool, but no extra benefit.. come on, it only needs to tell when the amp is on, so any indicator would do.
Tilting back is an excellent feature. Definitely is a statement, however, cannot place anything on top of it... hey I need a place to put the beer on !

"good for practice."

i am satisfied with it as a practice amp and thats about it. as i said it is a very loud and full practice amp so you should save some money and buy a smaller one. or if you want performing amp save up some more and get an amp with more power.
Sound
good practice amp very true sounding at moderate volumes. if you strain it too much it distorts and gets nasty and the limiter goes haywire. it picks up a radio station every now and then...seems like an am news talk show...keeps me up to date on the news...its humorous when im not annoyed by it. i use a passive bass through it which seems alright. dont know abt the active bass through it. it has a little fuzz when the dB boost is switched on or when you turn the gain all the way up. but you shouldnt have to do thaT bc its not really meant for gigging, as i said good practice amp. i used it once for a small jazz/jam band gig and couldnt hear myself bc my rich guitarist has a friggin marshall halfstack. which he turned down bc we got pissed that none of us could hear ourselves...great for practice and small small performances.
Features
the eq is effective but my bass has much more effective controls...i just leave evrything at zero and turn the bass knob a quarter up. the cd input hasnt been used yet but im sure its great for kids who want to learn their favorite bands music and then brag about it.i dont copy from other bassists. dB boost is useless bc if the gain is past 5 with it on the limiter goes crazy. does have a send and return in the back but i dont process my bass through anything so...
Quality
its pretty sturdy. i sit on it every now and then to play. there is a slight buzz from when my buddy cranked everything up when i wasnt looking and then asked me to play some slap groove...hilarious, have it on tape.i think its a loose screw attaching the amp to the casing. doesnt bother me bc i have an old house and the walls rattle when i play anyway.
Value
decent value...big practice amp...small performance amp
Manufacturer Support
ill give them an 8 bc i dont know. shouldnt be too bad.
The Wow Factor
save some money buy a smaller practice amp...then when you get into a band or when you get better save for a real performing amp.
